First of all, here in central california it's a very nice day..sunny, nice breeze, and most of all the skies are COMPLETELY clear! i've never seen it so blue in my life! Another thing is that the air seems really clean, I just feel really good day especially when being outside. Not one cloud in sight and no chemtrails...usually there are trails crossing the sky all the time...whats it like where you guys are??

Atmoshere has to be right for CONtrails to form .. =) a good weather day with improper conditions for CONtrails would explain that..

but in other news, it's beautiful weather here, a bit chilly .. lots of trails in the sky as always but I do live near airports and so CONtrails are expected, especially with the conditions as they are..

Just to add ..

Contrail formation ( and duration ) depends on humudity .. a drier condition leads to a short lived contrail ( the drier, the shorter lived ) .. A humid condition leads to longer lived contrails.. puffier, spread out further and persist .. it's directly related to humudity

If the conditions are too dry, there may not be any contrail formation at ALL ..

Mind you, this is upper atmosphere conditions... but considering where I live, humidity is always elevated in the upper and lower atmosphere

yeah here in central NY it seems every would be sunny day is thwarted by stripes that diffuse into a haze by 2 pm, but it is clear today, no stripes or clouds.

I know this has been debated to death but here is one thing I'd like to ask the debunkers: If the chemtrails are really just exhaust from jet engines THEN WHY HAVE I SEEN THEM SUDDENLY STOP FORMING IN MIDFLIGHT?

When I was a kid the trails of white stuff from airplanes would dissipate at a constant rate, now more often than not I see them linger and diffuse into haze, WTF?

Southern New Hampshire has clear skies today as well, it is very nice here.
I really don't care who believes in chemtrails or who believes they're contrails, I don't trust TPTB at all, and if they say those are contrails, then they are lying as far as I'm concerned.

Radiation from Japan must be helping to evaporate the condensation. Trade off lingering condensation that creates clouds or radiation to melt it away?

This isn't a hard question to answer .. contrails ( short for condensation trails ) form when hot jet exhaust is mixed with humidity in the air.. multiple factors are involved such as air temperature, air pressure and humidity .. the atmosphere is not at all uniform in it's conditions.. there are air pockets, jet streams and various other things than can literally cause conditions to change drastically from one spot to the next.. so if a plane is creating condensation trails and then passes into a pocket of air that is very low humidity or high pressure then the condensation trail would end at that point.. this is absolutely normal given how the atmosphere is ..

There's a wealth of information on how contrails form, what they are and everything else

I found this .. and it's very close to what I said, only more detailed

What is a contrail and how does it form?

To answer this question, lets first identify what a contrail is. A contrail is the condensation trail that is left behind by a passing jet plane. Contrails form when hot humid air from jet exhaust mixes with environmental air of low vapor pressure and low temperature. Vapor pressure is just a fancy term for the amount of pressure that is exerted by water vapor itself (as opposed to atmospheric, or barometric, pressure which is due to the weight of the entire atmosphere above you). The mixing occurs directly behind the plane due to the turbulence generated by the engine. If condensation (conversion from a gas to a liquid) occurs, then a contrail becomes visible. Since air temperatures at these high atmospheric levels are very cold (generally colder than -40 F), only a small amount of liquid is necessary for condensation to occur. Water is a normal byproduct of combustion in engines.

I went to lunch today with my boss I totally thought this same thing, chem/contrails were absent from the Boston Sky.

I saw this thread and thought that I should comment.
