Here is another crackpot politician trying to bring the country into ruins.She is asking congress for 250 billion dollars to rebuild new orleans.To put into perspective exactly how much money 250 billion dollars actually is,here is how much it is.If you were to disperse the money evenly to all of the 484,674 residents of new orleans,they would each receive $516,000.00.That is over half a million dollars per person.it is well over 2 million dollars for a family of 4.This would just be added to our national debt,and bring the country one step closer into oblivion.Where do they find these politicians at? Sure,she is doing it so she can get reelected.It will sure look good for her to say I got us 250 billion to rebuild new orleans.When will the insanity stop

The insanity will stop when you all say E N O U G H. And actually do something besides write about it. And before you retort with the childish oh so common moron answer "well what are you doing" A helluva lot more then most of you.The problem is you can't sit and watch it then write about it on the Internet,everyone has to be a part of it..how? Easy,go stock up on a month or 2 worth of food..prepare for life without the normal dependencies,i.e. water,power(gas) food,..then simply stop complying with your bills,your jobs,just stop..don't go to the walmarts or fast food junk outlets..just simply refuse to be part of this corrupt system..that simple..and none of you can do it..yet complain constantly.Yeah wtg.

If private business and finance wont rebuild neworleans, there is probably little or no value in the area. The market has to decide where a good investiment is and if it will pan out, not the american taxpayer.

mabye she should go govern a communist or socialist country, instead of trying to turn america into one.

The money will not be given out "evenly" to the citizens of New Orleans but will be used to rebuild federal, state and local government buildings and infrastructure like sewers, levees, roads, hospitals, schools, etc. I would wager that the average citizen of New Orleans will see very little if any of the money for their personal use, i.e. rebuilding homes and businesses. Considering that it was the federal government under G.W. (Gosh what a Waste) Bush that caused New Orleans to require major rebuilding in the first place, it should be held liable for its actions, or rather, inactions.
