EU to ban cars from cities by 2050

The more I think about what the EU is doing the more I like it. It's modernization.

We've been anchored to the past with our cars and roads for too long. We've got to adapt to and embrace the new technologies that are emerging.

I heard somewhere (May Have Been ATS) that the auto industry & fuel producers here in America actively discouraged the development of rail systems. America is WAY behind when it comes to rail transport. Several countries have bullet trains capable of carrying people across considerable distances at speeds rivaling air transport. America needs to follow suit with the EU and invest in it's infrastructure.

The key to this article is they are only talking about banning petrol and diseal vehicles.

Good idea. Government vs Corporations. Personally I hope it actually happens.
