Still doesn't mean she didnt self harm, and to brush off the idea based on the fact that they live together and they drew on each other is ridiculous. Do you know how often stuff like that goes undetected?

Ok, looking at the pic again and saying they are nail scrapes.

Wouldn't the scrapes or scratches appear to be the same way?

Deeper or wide at the bottom narrower at the top?

Not sure. I'm just going from the detail given by the OP.

He said they coloured each other. hence wrote on each others skin with pens. Allergies do flare up like that.

i'm not saying it isn't self harm or it is.

He said that they didn't color each other there. Or that he didn't color her there, so... that would leave an untouched area.. free of marker... with an allergic reaction where there was no ink?

HMM that is a stretch and HIGHLY unlikely.

Looks like the words MAPII, or MNPII. It could be a rash, or scrapes from a black berry bush. I get scrapes all the time from horse back riding out in the wilderness.

Not knowing the scale of the injury, I'm not sure.

In general, it looks like what happens to me when I accidentally claw my arm with my thumbnail or graze myself on the corner of the table, even through bluejeans, a kind of broad, skipping line of ouch. The tiny scratch in the final "letter" would lend credence to fingernails being the (accidental) culprit. But again, there's not much for scale so I'm not sure. Compare both of your fingernail widths to the width of the injury. If it's broader than any of your combined fingernails, that would rule it out. Narrower, and fingernails are in the running.

No, he said he drew right by there to be fair. If he can't remember, maybe he was drunk.

Look at this pic of a hair dye allergy.

yess, thats the first thought that had popped into my mind, self mutilation, either that or a burn. . . but this looks just like the cuts my first two girlfriends used to do to themselves, just ask her about it, tell her you wont judge her, you wont jump to any assumptions but that your just worried about her and you want everything to be alright...hope for the best! To me they look very consistent with what one would expect to see from when a person makes a "claw" with their hand and begins scratching. The scratching motion would explain the staggered aspect of the cuts.

Anyone who has dealt with an infant has probably seen very similar scratches.

To say that you would know she's definitely not a cutter is ridiculous and obvious denial on w/e level you decide. This woman does use the restroom and take showers I assume. Do you walk her into the bathroom and watch her pee every time she goes in there? This could easily be done in a short period of time. Definitely looks self inflicted.

Omg I'm not saying she could never have time to cut herself, obviously she is in the bathroom and away from me at times... But we spend long periods of time naked with each other nightly/daily in the shower, in bed, etc...

We've been together a long time, I'm saying she could not hide such a thing from me... It is literally impossible! Plus, these are not even freaking cuts!!!

Oh, ok, not dealt with that.

I just put what the Op was saying about drawing over each other and the strange marks, together and came up with a skin reaction.

I love how the OP is so sure that just because they are constantly together she couldn't do such a thing. Lol.

naive much.

Ok, not being funny, but if I was to claw my skin and scratch marks there, wouldn't the marks look the same as in direction or consistency of mark to direction.

To me it still does seem like an allergy. Havng looked again at the phot....(again not taking into consideration the cut on the last mark....like I say that would blled like shaving cuts...not that I have that many, just when I'm really lazy and sleepy or in a rush. )

The whole "she's a cutter" thing doesn't seem to likely to me.

I have known 3 women that were cutters. Generally women that do this use a razor blade, knife, etc and make very obvious slices in the skin. They don't just tear little chunks out of their skin. I'm not saying it's not possible, but it's definitely not the first thing that comes to mind when you think of cutters.

It doesn't look like a fresh burn, as there would be a blister if it was that bad, and a lot more discoloration around the edges of the wound.

It could be a scab she picked, but since he didn't see it there before you could rule that out.

As someone else mentioned, it seems the most likely is she just itched herself too much. Does she/you do any opiates? Just curious... I've known people who get the "oxy itch" who get scabs or wounds that look identical to that after itching themselves in one spot for too long.

Sometimes it doesn't even look bad at first, just a little red. The top later of skin is scratched off in certain areas, and then after a few hours or so then it gets inflamed and looks like what you posted.

Not being rude or anything fellow members but this is a guy who is talking about his gf.

If it is self harm, don't be giving him agro or a hard time for not spotting it.
........

If I drew all over my Mrs English and she woke up with a rash that looked like writing, I'd put ti down to an allergy to the pen marks. Unless i was sober enough to remember what i had wrote and where....If I wasn't sober, i wouldn't have done it...unless she had been a complete batch the day before and gone into a deep slumber.

How could she do that without me knowing if I see her naked daily??? Ur telling me for a year now she could be hiding cutmarks on her body without me knowing????????

And your continuing to ignore the fact I can clearly see they are not cuts!!!

U call me naive? Your opinion... On that note, my opinion is that u sir are ignorant... I'm not calling you ignorant, simply stating that based on your inability to actually read what I am writing you must be uneducated and therefore by definition, ignorant!

No drugs and this is the only mark on her body... It literally is probably nothing.. Thought it was interesting that it looked like letters, now I'm sorry I've even posted anything!

I'm a woman thank you. And it is perfectly likely that you may have missed something. Do you inspect her body daily? im simply sayiing that having the idealization that because you live together she cant have dont it, is ridiculous.

Sorry man but it is self inflicted. go back and look at the picture. You can see pieces of skin that are curved upwards from the cuts. They are:

-bottom left and bottom right of first letter
-top left of second
-bottom of fourth

Also you can tell they are fingernails for instance. hold up your first three fingers(index middle and ring. You will see that your middle finger sits higher than the other two. Now look at letter 3 on the pic and you see that same pattern, the mark in the middle is further away from the other two.

Omg... Read... Yes I see her naked, in the shower, in bed, in the morning, at night... I might not "inspect for cuts" but I can sure as hell gaurantee if cuts existed on her body, anywhere... I would see them!!!

We are very close, as in close enough that we color all over each others naked bodies quite often...

She does not/could not hide such a thing from me... Not to mention, she would tell me if she was upset, stressed, etc... Clearly you are either single, not intimate with your lover, or just plain stubborn to your personal opinions because you don't listen!!!!!!

Back to the point... They are not cuts, not intentionally inflicted, and not an allergic reaction.

Could they be scratches? YES, but my point is that it is odd that they look like letters...

Also odd that they happened without her being aware...

What have we learned?

You don't read, and my lover is NOT A FREAKING CUTTER!!!
