Maybe he was in the same closet as that reporter at Biden's shindig, got noticed, and they had to get him the hell out of there!

I seriously doubt Bin Laden will ever be seen anywhere alive except on a video. I also question the authenticity of this report, if i were looking for someone for eight years to no avail and then suddenly was actually close to finding them (someone who managed to stay constantly a step ahead of me) why would i give them a heads up by reporting it to the media??

C'mon, this is the Gubment we're talking about here. They bring stupidity to all new levels never before known by mankind.

Besides, if he's really alive out there somewhere, they have no real interest in really capturing him. If they get him in custody, he will be able to demand to see the evidence against him and the government has already admitted they have no case against him.

Maybe the purpose for this article is to tip him off so he can go back into hiding where the CIA can never find him.

I do not understand some of the posters on this site. You all have no faith at all. Do you have any idea how easy it to stay alive in the mountains of Afghanistan while dragging around a Dialysis machine?

There seems to be confusion on the part of our intelligence departments. They used echelon trigger words to search for Bin Laden. A flag came up in Asia. The Bin Laden assualt team was called in to track him down and capture him. They know he was using the alias Warren Buffet some where in a cave in Asia.

False alarm!!!

dealbreaker.com...

On Saturday, Buffett boarded a private jet bound for Daegu, South Korea. “I’m going to be the Osama bin Laden of capitalism. I’m on my way to an unknown destination in Asia where I’m going to look for a cave,” he joked. “If the U.S. Armed forces can’t find Osama bin Laden in 10 years, let Goldman Sachs try to find me.”

But Asia Times online seemed to not have got the message that it was a false alarm.

1. (C) French Poloff Pierre-Antoine Molina briefed Poloff on July 9 on a recently-signed civilian nuclear cooperation agreement between Libya and France. According to Molina, Libya U/S for European Affairs Abdulati Obeidi visited Paris on July 7-8 to formally sign the agreement, which was first discussed during President Sarkozy's July 2007 visit to Libya and initialed by Obeidi on the margins of Libyan leader Muammar al-Qadhafi's December 2007 visit to France (reftels). As a signatory to the EuroAtom treaty, France had been obligated to notify all EuroAtom members of its plans to pursue a civilian nuclear cooperation agreement with Libya and to wait for a stipulated period of time in which other members could register objections before proceeding. By July 2008, the waiting period had ended without objection and France could proceed. The text, identical to the December 2007 initialed agreement, establishes a vague framework for future cooperation in the field of civilian uses of nuclear energy but does not/not commit France to specific projects or investments in Libya. After a prolonged lull, the United States Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has launched a series of covert operations in the rugged Hindu Kush mountains of Pakistan and Afghanistan following strong tip-offs that al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden has been criss-crossing the area in the past few weeks for high-profile meetings in militant redoubts.

Maybe since Pakistan are getting a little irritated with US drones killing innocents, the US now needs an excuse to get into Pakistan..

Who in the world is Osama bin ladin? All I know is there is some person on the FBIs most wanted list. Why have I never heard of him ever since 911 happened?

I personally believe he is dead, probably lying in some shallow grave on the side of a random mountain on the Afghan Pakistan border.

Even if he is alive by some miracle, I don’t think we will ever see him behind bars, I recall a ex-CIA operative talking about how they will probably just kill him on the spot because he is to dangerous alive.
In regards to this particular article, I don’t really believe to much of it nor to I buy into any of the OP’s commentary. OBL is probably dead for one thing, secondly if he is alive he almost definitely no longer has any direct control over the group we have come to know as “Al’Qa’ida” which also means that there cannot really be any internal power struggle.

I do however believe that there may be a change that the American government claim to have killed him weather it is true or not sometime around the next election. Perfect way to get votes.

9/11 few victims? are you kidding I knew 2 victims and one of my friends knew one of the fire fighters and a few other people. She lived in NYC. I can't believe there are people that are really that stupid.

Iran admits they have been letting Osama's family live there for years. That was all over the MSM. I figured he was there too or dead. I too doubt that they are hot on his trail

That is a good point the US is dying to get into Pakistan. Maybe that's the OP they will say that justifies it. Personally I think that countries a big bomb waiting to go off and we should back away carefully. Those nukes get into the wrong hands and that's a bad day waiting to happen

They'll probably keep recycling and feeding this story to the idiot masses until the guy reaches an age of 120 or so. Maybe by then people will start to get wind of the fact that the guy is no longer alive; if he ever was alive to begin with.

Watch your tongue jbob. Every joe soap seems to know or can quote a friend
of a friend who died on 9/11, but when pushed for a name, they are always
strangely found lacking. Care to give your names and i will be happy to
apologise and accept that i am stupid when it can be proven that these
people even exist, let alone were killed on 9/11. The number of blatant computer
generated ficticious non-victims can be gleaned from the multitude of
badly constructed obviously photoshopped memorial photographs, the absence of
personnel histories and the lack of any genuine sounding tributes(for those lucky
enough to get more than a couple of wishy-washy tributes from strangers) on all memorial sites.
Over to you bob..

I guess they had some more important things to attend to.

Well I'll be damned, apparently the President says we finally got him tonight.

I guess they were thawing out the body for the past month.

I still call BS, I think he's been dead for a long time now. It would have been much more appropriate for him to have mad this announcement one month ago instead (April fools day for those of you who are calendar challenged
).

Now that he's "officially" dead, who will they get to fill the role of the world's bogeyman now?

Just a reminder: Bhutto said Bin Laden was murdered and she said it as a fact, didn't correct herself or treated it as a slip-up. Maybe she didn't realize it or whatever, then she was assassinated. For me, it's another case of propping up the boogeyman for Americans.

Do people actually believe this man is still alive? OMG, I wanna get off this ride soon, 2012 can't get here fast enough!

after almost a decade they are hot on his trail now…truthfully we need to find another agency for the benefit of the public that can do its job and would be liable to the people and thus for the people

This charade has now gone well past the ridiculous stage. I can't imagine that there are still too many people who believe in this.

Then again, there usually appears to be a reason for trotting out this boogey-man. Good scapegoats are hard to come by, I suppose.

Bin laden is of course long dead but maybe they will 'capture' one of his look-a-likes
(whom they are only too familiar with) for the purposes of keeping the myth alive.
