US army says: just add urine to food...

here is what i think is the wierd part:

cant people live many days without food as long as they have water???

even though pouch filters out 99.9% of bacteria and most
toxic chemicals i would NEVER try this way of rehydrating food with dirty water or urine...

my question is:

do the soldiers use this method always OR just in a life / death situation like on the battle fields???
