My word, look how fast that water moves in. I can't imagine the terror Japanese people on the ground must of felt when they saw that coming towards them. Proper tragic this is.

YESSSS,.
One of my all time favorite songs,.
,..
It is of course sad to witness the loss of lives,.
But there are many that could have or will say,.
I told you so..
but as this event fades away,. lets hope we dont just
move on like business as usual,. and turn a blind eye
to what could be the most in your face warning of our times,.
Life can be VERY short,. Make the most of it at all times,.
Cause this "could " be it, for this generation.

Amazing video. Simply terrifying.

I love the music, better than most of the crappy music others put with their videos.

Seriously, some people will bitch about anything. Turn the volume off and quit whining. Geez!

I concur, good as well...I can't imagine what was going through people's heads.

Maybe it's still a little too early for that...... Even though I can't help but be drawn to it . I see how most could be easily offended, but IT IS the best footage I've seen of the tsunami,... and I'm pretty sure that is because of the song. So, thanks for sharing.

Eye on the the TV
'Cause tragedy thrills me
Whatever flavor it happens to be, like...
"Killed by the husband"
"Drowned by the ocean"
"Shot by his own son"
"She used a poison in his tea, and kissed him goodbye"
That's my kind of story
It's no fun 'til someone dies

Don't look at me like I am a monster
Frown out your one face, but with the other
Stare like a junkie into the TV
Stare like a zombie
While the mother holds her child, watches him die
Hands to the sky crying, "Why, oh why?"

Cause I need to watch things die...from a distance
Vicariously I live while the whole world dies
You all need it too, don't lie

Tool makes sense...

I just watched an entire town get washed away in less than 10 minutes.

I'm speechless.

I loved it. If there was ever a soundtrack for devastation this was it

Loved the music...not the loss of life or the destruction

Tool for backing music. How original.

I think the visuals speak for themselves.

Thank you very much for posting this video. This song caught my attention a few months ago and I listen to it frequently. I'm not what you would call a fan of Tool and I never understood the lyrics fully. I haven't seen this footage before either so you can imagine my reaction as the water rises and the lyrics unfold; "shocked" would be an understatement.

The quote from Kubrick is quite appropriate. It's my understanding that he was... illuminated... but I guess that subject has been discussed here extensively.

Thanks again...

It appears as though the video is no longer online anywhere.. Sucks to have to be censored just due to the music, meanwhile bozos are running around online, unchallenged, saying Japan got what it deserved due to its whaling industries.

Speechless. I would freak if i was the guy filming. Nature is both a beautiful and terrible thing.

Edit to add, I'm thinking that's either Tool or APC. Not too big of a fan but I guess the song is decent.

Nature is not beautiful of terrible, this is what is wrong with this planet, sensationalism at best

Bloody hell - from a small trickle bleeding up the road to that massive torrent of destruction..

Really puts it in perspective

WOW

I watched the vid without the music - amazing force of nature.
As destructive as it was it was also somehow spell binding
to watch. We can't forget about what has happened here -
it will take a very long time for the country to come out from
under the quake, tsunami and now the nuclear disaster.

The song says "one great big festering neon obstruction harvesting gestures to keep us all occupied...let it swim"
Japan is full of neon obstructions.Tool kinda called that there....just saying.

Very true. I found the following quite disconcerting too.

Some say a comet will fall from the sky.
Followed by meteor showers and tidal waves.
Followed by faultlines that cannot sit still.
Followed by millions of dumbfounded dip#s.
