Has a Female Ever Tried Using a Pickup Line on You?

This was a first for me.

Last night, I was at a local hangout spot. Basically some tables, chairs, and benches are set up and there is a stage where local bands are free to go play music for the community.

Anyway, so I am listening to live music, drinking some water from a cup. (yes it is water). I accidentally spill my cup of water, and some splashes onto the person next to me. It wasn't that much, and it only got on the side of her leg. Fortunately it didn't like splash on the front of her pants. We all know how terrible of a feeling that is to get water by your crotch.

I said, " I am soo sorry! Are you okay?" She was like, "My leg! It's broookeen!" sarcastically. She was roughly 30 years old or so... really not my type...

She starts talking to me, obviously interested in me. Small talk, yadda yadda..

After a few minutes of talking, I apologize once more for accidentally getting some water on her. She was like, "What's life without getting a little wet and having fun?"

I was like

I had never heard a female pickup line until last night.

How do you know she was using a pick up line as opposed to simply messing around to get a shocked reaction? Lol. Happens all the time. She could easily have been playing with you for her amusement and not because she "wanted you" - guys often don't get the difference.

Women have a funny way with pickups. Some could be sly and surprise you when you realize what they are. And even if it is a pickup line, doesn't mean it's a pickup, she could just be having fun seeing you up in a twist to enjoy her own sense of power/manipulation. The blatant pickups lines are the scary ones. The one that scared me the most was outside a strip club in new orleans a greeter girl complemented that I had "Pretty lips". Luckily my friends were there because we all walked quickly away laughing our asses off in a WTF moment.
