General Electric, the nation’s largest corporation, had a very good year in 2010.

The company reported worldwide profits of $14.2 billion, and said $5.1 billion of the total came from its operations in the United States.

Its American tax bill? None. In fact, G.E. claimed a tax benefit of $3.2 billion.

Yesterday I watch this unfold and as I was listening I became so angry, if G.E is not paying taxes who else is not paying taxes? so the greedy aristocrate elites are sucking ever more from us common people, but hey what the heck we dont care because we pay theri taxes and no one ever protest or revolts the aristocrate elites we merely feed theri fat arsses everyday we work and pay their taxes...grrrrrr

this is because you and I are so damn dumbed down that we do not realize that the corporations, WHO ARE SUPPOSED TO PAY ALL THE TAXES, have secretly passsed them on to us, the people, using the "Zip Code" and other nefarious means to MAKE US "federal employees" and "state employees" responsible for paying taxes to run the corporations and "corporate government".

This is what pisses me off. So many people, like myself, who have investigated the frauds and are actually trying to do something about it and correct the system, but everyone else is so scared #less that they don't have the balls to fight back. Stop living in fear. Do some work and investigate the BS. File a 1041 and NOT a 1040 and claim ALL your earnings back. Find out about the trust created in your all CAPITAL LATTERS name and stop them from selling you for profit!!!!!!!!

Damnit people, do something instead of whining!!

Man I am so tired of this BS. Everyday I go to work I pray for death. I explain and hand out paperwork about the fraud and people don't have time to read it, why do I bother buying books and printing literature when everyone is so goddamn stupid they can't see what is going on. They whine about it and when I give them good information to work with, they can't be bothered to read it or act on it. SHUT THE F_CK UP THEN!!!

I bought 4 copies of "Good-Bye April 15th" a few years ago, for $75 a piece. I looked at Amazon.com yesterday and they are selling now for $299 and up!!!!!!!! I gave them away for FREE!!!! Just so I could educate a few people and hope they would pass the books on. What a waste of my time and energy. Thanks society for nothing. I would rather join Thomas Jefferson right now than take another stupid breathe with the poeple of today!!!

This really bugs me.

My sister's best friend lives in Colorado and was the Vice President of Human Resources - HR Leader Retail Consumer Finance at General Electric.

I have personal contact details. Should we get a little list together and I'll see what she has to say on the topic?

Could be a great way of getting some otherwise impossible comments or nitty-gritty.

She's a long time family friend so she'd be happy to help I'm sure unless it dropped her in the poo in some way with her current employment.

Will check back soon.

ps...I bloody hate corporations!

Corporations don't pay taxes at the end of the year. They turn in there tax forms showing the money made and the share holders who received the profits K1 frorm. The K1 form is then given to the IRS and the share holders. The shareholders are responsible for paying the taxes listed on the K1 form.

Exactly, the CEO and the heads of the corporations TAKE all the profit for themselves and leave the peons to pay the "taxes" on the operation of the corporation. Just as we, not empoyees but laborers, pay the taxes for the companies we work for, because the "private sector business" does not know HOW to deal with the unlawful and unconstitutional IRS and state governments.

It has been proven again and again that YOUR labor is YOUR property and you may trade it for anything you wish, FRN's are NOT legal tender, only coins minted by the Treasury ARE legal tender. But who cares anyway.

Nothing will EVER be done about this.

the tax burden is passed down to the end consumer PeeP
no matter what
or the investors would sell if it didn't pay
In Canada we have a tax credit for shareholders of certain types
where does that shift the tax burden to?

Steven Colbert I think did a thing about G.E. the other night.
They do basically OWN the United States. Maybe someone could find a link to that?

It's pretty scary when you look into how powerful that company is.

They of course manufactured the (supposed) Temporal Displacement Unit that John Titor claimed to have used to travel back in time from 2036.

It would explain a lot if that were actually true !

they blackmail politicians. if a politician or a group of politicians raise their tax breaks, or close loopholes, then all of the sudden GE announces in their newsletter that 7,000 layoffs are needed (usually in the offending politicians district) to remain competitive, to avoid bankruptcy and avoid posting losses.

the people freak out, the media is all over it, the senator looks bad and loses votes, and in desperation to keep his constituents employed and avoid bad press, breaks to the corporations demands and withdraws any attempt to collect taxes.

or the classic, which has recently been exploited, move jobs overseas. which they do anyways regardless how much tax breaks they get because they can pay slave wages.

The blackmail of layoffs goes deeper than you think. Just look at the koch brothers. They own payroll services. Payroll services allow small businesses to use there workmans comp and accounting departments for processing there payroll. Koch brothers own at least one payroll service that is a national chain. They can shut down small businesses they don't even own by simply canceling the payroll service for companies they don't own. One of there payroll services brag of having 40,000 employees ran through it. Thats a lot of small businesses that have 10 or less employees and the Koch brothers hold the key to there future employment.

Not only did GE not pay any taxes in the U.S. last year, it effectively got money back from the U.S. government.

Poor GE. Needed, entitled, to a govt handout.

As an employee, I am unable to take enough deductions or tax credits to zero out my income. I will ALWAYS pay income taxes. I have a friend who ended up paying alimony to her husband because he was considered self-employed and was able to zero out or have negative income most years, even though he earned quite a sizable income. He kept the new truck his business owned, she ended up with the old car.

Paying taxes used to be considered patriotic. The push the last three decades has been to avoid paying taxes. Well, at least for corporations, and they've done a darn good job of it.

you are a slave to the system only if you do nothing to lift yourself up out of social slavery i work a minimum wage job at a recycling plant sorting trash all day i make $498.00 (australian) a week yet i do not see myself as a slave to the system. i see myself as a worker of australia , a father of a 4 month old boy , a provider for a family who depends on me , and a cog in the gears of enviromental sustainability . so my son can have a cleaner world than i have . POINT you are what you make your self

::Yawn::

Haven't paid taxes in a decade really. They started looping those holes back in 2001. The taxes just got smaller and smaller. An ecenomist back in the day gave me a list of corps that haven't had to pay taxes because they were swindling their ways out of it. GE is just the biggest...

Which is why I been saying for a while that people who get their energy from GE shouldn't pay their bills in the months they use the most electricity.

You would be surprised by the amount of corporations that don't pay taxes, but your taxes go towards helping them out. But, by outsourcing their business they are shooting themselves in the head in the long run.

You send your manufacturing to another country with cheap labor to produce a cheaper product, therefore being able to sell in your country cheaper. But take away all the manufacturing, no one will have the money to buy those cheaper products.

I say that companies that outsource their production should not be able to sell in their country. But this is all mute since the big corporations own the government.

interesting thread. just want to contribute some local stuff then.

at least 2 of some of these companies below i had a spare time job/weekend job in when i was single years ago. and ashamed by now. I found out this years later when i started interest in politics. believe it or not, one american company actually stole 2 weeks worth of salary, using some odd script in a contract (not fulltime, cant remember if that was 2 weeks worth of hours of just whatever in those 2 weeks, but im certain!) JUST because i got tired of work and quit. a simple spare time job, where one get paid to be there or not, nothing like a real primary job. Why ? because they obviously COULD, they claimed that they 'lost' money..well im not that good at english, nor an academic.. if was all a simple deal, and like usual i bit the dust, just accepting things, like any other ignorant person. Who was i, to go hire an expensive lawyer.. how can they actually have the manners or heart to take away your deserved pay. that was all years ago, i learned later that its dangerous to 'switch' jobs (or quit in common regular timed dismissal, got cheated for 1000 usd there, all by the book, black on white, but thats another matter)

its all about money aint it..

--
here, its a fact that many many companies do not pay the 30% company tax they are supposed to. only so little is known to man about it. but some is known. this has happened for 25-30 years. they use simple tricks as 'moving' money out of the country, claiming they have no 'income'. its somehow a money transfer, out of a country. here where we pay 37-66% tax it all makes sense - unfortunately.

7eleven isnt any good. they suck. a 0.5 bottle of coke is costing at least 4 usd. there. the bottle itself has a return value of 0.5 usd just for info. 7eleven, tupperware Ibm, fujitsu, kellogs, q8, nestle, and many others do it, year by year they pay 0% when they should be paying 30%.

www.multinasserne.dk...

they are cheating by multi-billions each year. to compare, on a very good year i earned 100 grand usd, and paid 40 grand in tax. next year i got an extra tax for previous year of 2 grand usd.

its daylight robbery, regardless of nations, so sad to read about GE in roughly same tax matters. the companies do use some sort of threat to move away, threatening the economics thereby..granting the cheating.

whats happening now, its people are encouraged to spy on eachother, and government is indeed spying, looking for so-called social deception. not only if you're a bit rich they have interest, if you know people who area bit rich, they investigate. like its gonna end there ? dont think so..

scandinavia is 'very civilized' and western i suppose, and 'was' great too, but nowadays i refer to it as not even ice cream..but a dogshid on top of a cowshid, there IS nowhere to go, to get better. and while things get worse, we're all supposed to be glad we're not starving africans. does that say alot..about where we're headed?

everything that happens in usa will happen here too, just like any hollywood movie arrive here after 6 months of wait. same thing with the media..

just letting you know that if its any interest. i dont feel sorry for myself, i still feel sorry the foreigners here, while government violate many human convention rules, dismiss anybody they feel like that isnt some astronaut or science major. people who graduated from the top 20 uni's in the world are welcome though, that makes our own uni's NOT EVEN rank at even a top-50. in fact at least 10 uni's of a top-20 uni list would be american. we are in obama's pants, or something..like paying a mob for protection. where obama's gun is pointed, so is ours.

most production has already moved away. the fact that we are supposed to 'live' of information' and 'knowledge' shows us that we have NADA, and hence must turn to the grand big world to find this. "we need qualified people" - ALL the time native genies are leaving this place. high standards huh?

the royal family get stuffed 50 bil. usd each year in their pockets, so they can 'represent' our nation. its sick.

the politicians remind me of 'doublethink' and a lot of unconscious stuff from '1984', it must be like a frog in heated water.. still sitting still..

what to do when 'as good as it gets' is not good enough anymore ? what to do when it gets worse...?

looks like americans dont have an easy time either, good luck there. like many many others, maybe its time to screw our tolerance and flexibility, and step up and say NO. possibly ending behing thick bars in the process.

regards,
the ashamed

"Would you like to move your jobs overseas?
There's a tax for that."
Right?
Well, there should be.
"Would you like to not pay taxes after reaping gargantuan benefits?
Too bad, there's a tax for that too."
Tax them.
Tax the act of taxing them.
Tax the act of taxing the tax that is taxing them.
And then invest in National Infrastructure.
Profit.

probably because you have allot more money left over after taxes. If you make more money you pay more taxes, that's how it works. It seems people who make decent money have no clue how difficult times are for those who don't earn much. It matters not how much you pay in taxes, its how much you have after taxes that matters.

What matters is how well you see opportunity.

No one is stuck with their current level of income.... Be entrepreneurial and you cand find many more ways to generate as much or more income than you are now.

Don't judge your worth by how much someone pays you currently... Or any other sort of limiting factors....

So many people don't understand how malleable reality really is.... They think that the only thing possible for them is whats happening now... And that is simply not the truth.
