Thanxs for the first post OP and welcome. Sorry but some trolls on here do not play well with others and can't control their hands when they type, but we commend you on taking the time to make us aware of your experience. I personally have never heard that sound but when we had the blood moon awhile back I saw "something" in the sky for 3 seconds like a star shooting 30 ft above my head but it disappeared in the way that you are describing. Freaked me out indeed, and I used the "Predator" reference as well to my family.

Well, can't get too excited. We've yet to and probably never will see concrete evidence. Nothing what you people experience ever happens in Northern Utah. NOTHING ! The nights are quiet here, no UFO"s, no noises. I'm tired of all the excuses that never provide the proof we need to positively identify a "REAL" UFO. If we are ever to know the truth [ and don't hold your breath waiting for the government disclosure ] it will be up to us [ the citizenry ] to come up with the evidence and solid proof. Should there really be "Aliens" in among us and traveling in their spacecraft, they must be laughing and saying to each other " Stupid earth people, we come and go as we please to this planet for years yet accept for your government officials, you earthlings can't seem to prove our presence. And we operate right in broad daylight and do whatever the hell we want to you" ! Go ahead and shoot me down but the fact is, I'm not far at all from the truth MM

I heard it in San Francisco CA and posted about it on the earlier thread. Heard it again 2 nights ago too, but fainter, as if from farther away and straight up, where as the first time it was close and loud and you couldn't tell which direction it was coming from as if so big it was all over our part of the city. It was a really stormy night and I'm sure most people would chalk it up to wind except that the wind was there before and after and this was different, mechanical like and so loud it was a bit scary. Because of the rain and clouds - couldn't see a thing.

But a couple of days ago it was much clearer - at least you could see mountains and buildings although still greyish skies in areas. And I still couldn't see anything. Both times it was at night.

I can say for as sure as I can be, that it is different from wind noise - you can hear both at the same time. And I've lived in the city most of my life and in this area Twin Peaks for many years and I've never heard this before. I was so shocked to see a thread on it a few weeks back after I'd heard it - I almost fell over.

I am in Berkeley (duh) and haven't heard a thing! Next time you hear it U2U me ASAP, I am up til the wee hours of the morning usually.

I captured this video a few days ago of the sound.


Taped this during a thunderstorm on March 23, 2011. Due to the immense amount of people on ATS who had heard this sound within 48 hours period, I knew immediately what it was and I knew I had to tape it. This sound went on for more than 10 minutes. I have never, ever, heard this sound - what some call ducting- before in my life. Very intersting experience.

if the aliens wanted to destroy us in an all out invasion, they would of done so hundreds of years ago before we even had the ability to resist. But the thing is the government is going to try and get all of us to believe that the are attacking us-- its called mind control.

How about a war right over our head we can't see, between the good, Light and the evil non light. I got this off of my thread about Japan quake and spirits. This was taken just 1 hour after the quake. The Light one for a few seconds looks like a firgure in the middle in the middle of a Cross, Jesus, Archangel, or alien???/
Real Bright. Then you see this Black like spirit that you can see through come up under it at the end then fly off the screen and seconds latter come down and go all the way around the Bright light on. The tuber even shows how these things are substance and really there, yet the Black on is lighter substance than the White light. Be sure to watch the whole thing or you will Miss It.

I see wings flapping. I believe this was a bird. I know it is the old bird saying again, but this is what I see. The orb on the other hand, I cannot say. I am looking for the explanation also. I just want to approach this situation with a level head. I personally believe that some of these noises are terestrial aircraft. But of course I am still looking for evidence also.

Keep the camera a rolling. I have my camera with me. I hope I can someday take a picture of the Shiloh ufo I saw several years ago.

I hear these odd UFO noises quite often .....I actually caught it on a small video....Did it sound like this?


This was between 2am and 3am...it was as silent as the grave before the noise began.

In the end, everybody who lives here has family here and culture here, and an intrinsic motivation to not screw it up too badly. Somebody who can go back home to Alpha Centauri 5 or wherever after trashing this planet---like some overprivileged rock star bailing from his entourage's trashed hotel suite---might not really give a damn.

Of all the really good stuff in the world that happens to people today, ETs have been responsible for 0% of it.

If the reports are right, they may be responsible for 0.0000000001% of the bad stuff.

Look at the first how far away that is, and you can see a helicopter first 2 seconds, but the thing at the end is way to big to be a bird, and it is moving a lot slow than a bird would that far away. I am not trying to slay a skeptic, being a bit of a skeptic doesn't hurt anyone. It even looks bigger than the UFO at that zoomed distance. Look at it a few more times. I didn't see at all the first time I watched, all I saw was the UFO. One thing for sure if this was a HAARP projection then the Quake was a Big Bad HAARP projection. It is a bizzar world we are living in now.

I wish I would witness a rumbling noise here in SE Wisconsin.

You sound like you have a very domineering wife and you can't get a word in and told to shut , so you joined ATS a few days ago just to take your frustration out on us. Might be good if you are NOT hearing this noise. those ships could be getting in position for a massive attack and where you hear it, thats where they are going to attack. Perhaps its some strategic location for them of some value. i dont know. if it is extraterrestrial in nature then yeah ide say for sure they are getting ready to attack. all signs to me point to the month of may as their kick off time. But if it is government ships then 50% chance they will attack as well. You who have heard this sound know its eerie and something you have never heard. It could be earthquake activity....something as simple as that or it could be a nefarious craft...as it does sound like the roar of a loud jet. But time will tell.

As a firm bible reader i can tell you this: the bible talks about a time coming on the earth, a great tribulation that the world has never seen before a time so dreadful it says if god didnt step in all flesh would not survive. The bible even says "woe to the one wishing for this time" We have seen wars, we have seen calamitys. but what could it mean something the world has never seen before nor will see ever again...

to me that means an alien invasion.

Now what I am about to post below...Is just thinking out loud for the most part. The scenarios are hypothetical only, and do not necessarily represent my personal view on the subject...Now that you have been warned...

I would have to agree that this is technology, if it exists, is more than likely terrestrial in origin, instead of extra-terrestrial. The main reason I say this is because in all of the credible accounts of UFOs that I have been told first-hand, the objects were usually very large, as well as completely silent.

However, this is not to say that it is not possible for a craft such as this, if it exists, to produce such noises. Reason being, moving air and creating sound waves are a physical phenomenon that cannot be bypassed without some type of advanced technology, and a craft that contained the necessary mechanisms, design, etc, to become silent, may have been repairing their craft during the days and weeks that the sounds were being heard.

This however, would mean that it was the same craft, as I doubt multiple crafts would have the same failures all around the world. And if it was one craft, wouldn't it have been fixed sooner? If that is too far-fetched, let us say that they did not put cloaking technology on the craft, if it exists. I believe the accounts that have personally been related to me, describing the crafts as silent, are legitimate. With that said, if the technology exists to stay hidden, and is used on other craft, then why not on this particular craft?

This leads me more to believe that our government, or some other country's government, is testing their new cloaking technology right under all the noses of the world. This is, if the OP is correct.

I am more worried about our government saving us, than an alien hurting me or eating me for lunch. The government would just go in there holes. If aliens were dangerous to humans, we would already be gone, Promise you. If anything there are good aliens helping fight off the bad ones. There are good and bad ones, I have been told, glad I have never seen a bad one.
