Hi All,

I’d like to share with you a recent sighting which myself & a friend witnessed on our trip to Stone Henge on the 26th & 27th February 2011.

I live around 45 minutes from Stone Henge, having never been there before I thought it would be a nice idea to go check it out with a friend.

26th February 2011

It was a Saturday night and the sky was the clearest I had ever seen it. We drove down the dirt road along side Stone Henge so we could park up as close to it as possible.
We noticed that a car was parked up at the end of the dirt road opposite us. We also noticed security patrolling the area on foot. Once we got out the car this 4x4 vehicle started to race towards us with its headlights on, then at the same time security started pointing their torches at us and then a nearby parked cars hazard lights started to flash on & off.

We were starting to get freaked out by this point as everything was happening at once and just didn’t add up. Fearing we were trespassing we jumped back in the car and headed back to the A-Road. Once the 4x4 saw we were leaving it started to return to its position on the dirt road. Security had disappeared from view as well.
Once back on the A-Road a very bright white light in the sky caught my eye. At first glance I thought it was a standard passenger plane. Then I noticed just how fast this thing was starting to move and its lack of predictable flashing lights. Suddenly it started to accelerate at high speed from the right of my visual field to the left, upon which the light changed to a vibrant orange. At this point it appeared to be travelling away from me and I thought it could be the back of a fighter jet that I’m seeing. Suddenly two bright white lights appear either side of the orange light. Then the next thing I know I’m catching it out the corner of my right eye as it seemed to jump over/behind us instantly.

What made this sighting so special for me were the events at Stone Henge prior to it. I’m not sure how security usually works there but it certainly seemed to me they were using scare tactics to get us out the area. Maybe they knew this UFO was going to be there or perhaps coincidence?

27th February

It was a typical English sunny Sunday with a bit of scattered rain.

Following our interesting events the night before we decided to visit Stone Henge the next day and have a proper look around.

We parked up in roughly the same location as the night before, had a good look at the stones up close then headed back to the car with a coffee and some lunch. After sitting in the car for about an hour my friend suddenly jumps out his seat.

In clear daylight we could see a black UFO roughly 4-5 miles from stone henge. It was simply hovering between two hills for roughly 30-40 seconds before descending in a very peculiar manner.

It looked like it was instantly jumping from its position to a lower position before smoothly descending for a landing. We continued to observe the area we saw it to see if it would appear again. It didn’t.

Naturally after seeing this we wanted answers. We drove to the point we believe we saw it hovering and got out the car to investigate the area. Not a trace of any activity in the area at all.

What the hell was it? Vortex? UFO? Light Anomaly? Hoax?

Once I got home I was looking over the pictures I took while walking around Stone Henge and noticed an identical black object to what we saw. It just happened to be in roughly the same location too. See photo below.

Full Size Original Photo Here

The black object to the right just above the stones is a bird. I know this because I was trying to not get the little f****r in the shot! However, to the left in the horizon is what I believe is the UFO we saw.

Let’s try to prove it’s not a bird. If we go by the scale of the object to the right which we know is a bird you can determine a solid black colour & size. We can tell it is in the foreground of the photo because of this. The UFO is again black but its colour is not as vibrant, from this we can determine it is further away than the bird. Its scale is similar to the bird, so if this was a bird in the distance then it would appear much smaller. Just by looking at the UFO you can tell it is off in the greater distance. It is an exact shape match of what we saw and very close to where we saw it later on that afternoon.

The UFO we saw had no flashing lights, it was a solid black. The usual UFO shape.

Anyway, I apologise for my obscenely large post but I wanted to include as much information as possible.

If you managed to read it all then I’d be interested to see your comments on this!

-Tris

Pictures were taken using a First Gen Samsung Galaxy Tab with a 0.0 Exposure.

Please do not just post "It's a bird." If your willing to make a claim then be willing to give evidence to back it.

To me it really looks like the object is hovering just over the mountains or the forest there in the background, which would mean it's way too large to be a bird. The shape does look like a classic saucer shape... and you'll also see it has a strange tilt to it. I don't know of any birds that fly tilted like that unless they are making a wide turn. But it does appear to be far in the background and of a peculiar shape.

IMHO it looks like a bird. And the "gliding" movements would be the norm. Not sure about the lights on the prior. Maybe a security helicopter.

But I think most will agree that the above pics look like a bird.

If thats a bird, it must be at least as big as a small plane. Looks like a bona fide UFO to me!! S&F for you!! Very Nice!

I really don't know what this is but I can tell you where you parked the first night YES was trespassing
because there is a designated car park rite across the road where all the coaches park I'm sure your familiar to this car park, anyway thats where you should of parked, it does seem a bit odd that another car was there aswell security or not I'm sure driving round that area is forbidden to everyone as it's a national heritage and protected grounds, I will dig fir some info though.

Agreed. Please see my additional analysis below!

Keep an open mind

It's very easy to jump to the conclusion it is a bird when there is one nearby in the shot.

I specialise in video editing, graphic & web design. I'd like to think I could easily identify an anomaly in a photo considering i doctor professional photographs on a daily basis. This one has me stumped.

I thought so, we were ok parking there during the day but at night i think security thought we were some hooligans trying to jump the fence perhaps..

More Analysis

Upon closer inspection I noticed there was another bird in this photograph. It is further away than the one to the right and you can notice its size is also smaller because of this. It is perfectly in line with the UFO. Notice the difference in colour tones. Again the UFO's pixel tones tell us it is well off in the distance and too large to be a bird.

I made an animation of how I saw the UFO descending. I used the picture i took at stone henge of what i believe is the UFO to mimic its flight path. As you can see it was a very peculiar descent. It's something that will stay with me forever.

As for what I saw the first night, my words will never do justice for what I saw. I was speechless. It was no way in hell a helicopter. Jet Fighter?.. Possibly, if its experimental.

It is well known that there is a historic and an archaeological line in the
emergence of the UFOs in England and it has been considered in their
DOD, but it not exhaust all aspects of the UFO phenomenon and it is
their final conclusion too.

Very interesting, thanks for posting that Rex!

I've tried to find out what base exactly is nearby but am having no luck. Do you know the name? Is it RAF affiliated?

Any information on the base would be greatly appreciated!

I run. Really, really fast.

I live in Frimley, I just set my location to London to avoid the question "Where the hell is Frimley?". It's roughly 30mins from S.London.

Even the stones in Stone Henge are military and their sellers here too.
I wouldn't buy anything from them. The thread as though was about the UFOs.

I'd say it’s defiantly worth a trip down there, especially if you’ve never been before! I just can’t believe my luck, two separate days visiting Stone Henge and on both visits i see a UFO. Funny thing is, since seeing those UFO's I haven’t stopped looking at the sky at night. Haven’t seen anything usual since.

Typical!
