Ok. I know my BIOS is corrupted. On the startup I get a black screen. No post, no BIOS, nothing.
My graphics card fan wont stop spinning. It's an Award BIOS. I already know I have to fix it with a Usb Floppy drive and a floppy. But I don't have those. Is there any other way besides that and physically replacing the BIOS chip?

I am no expert on computers I would like to ask you if you could help out on a small problem of mine.
About a year ago I installed windows 7 on my hp compaq nx7400. This is running fine. Ever since then though, I cant get to access my on board bluetooth device. It doesnt even see one. I tried downloading software from hp but everytime it starts to install it stops asking me to either plug in my bluetooth device or turn on my onboard device.
It just doesnt see that it exists.
Up until I had xp, the bluetooth worked fine.
Thank you for any help that you can give me in advace.

Go to My computer's Properties,
go into device manager, (look to see if there are any yellow "!" your device or other devices that are not working will be there)
Also look for your device, (if no "!")
click on your device,
click on the driver tab, (Click Update Driver)edit on 22-4-2011 by Tygart because: (no reason given)edit on 22-4-2011 by Tygart because: (no reason given)

Hi, amateur google enthusiast and highly ineffective armchair computer engineer here.
This thread on another website refers to your exact situation - apparently your module is a broadcom BCM92045NMD.
Basically it says you need HP Wireless Assistant - it's a small 3MB file and apparently windows will then recognise your BT module and automatic look for the drivers.
Hope that helps.
Edit - it's the 2nd solution in that thread.edit on 22/4/2011 by Now_Then because: (no reason given)

I got a toshiba laptop with windows vista service pack 2.
I have run several free software virus, registry scans the whole gambit.
Got rid of some suspicious programs and browser add ons.
Btw,this is my neighbors laptop.
After a few minutes of running,it basically locks up.
It was just locking up and going to a black screen.
But now just locking up to where I have to pull the battery.
I feel there is something still running on one of the user accounts, but can not locate it.
Any suggestions?
