British taxpayers could be forced to pay £3billion to rescue the Portuguese economy after the collapse of austerity talks in Lisbon last night.

3 billion eh. My country the Netherlands is going to pay 50 billion euro´s to save the Eurozone. It´s so ridiculous it makes me sick.
It just gets shoved down our throats, 7000 euro´s per household, money that probably will never even reach the intended destination.

It is all just a big shell game. The money doesn't even really exist anyway.

There is something VERY fishy here, here in the UK we have a defecit running into the billions and we are having to pay that in taxes and here we are giving £3Bn to Portugal? That is a sizable amount of money, about a quarter of what the defecit is I think.
But why bail out portugal when the euro is most likely going to crash? It's like plugging one hole in a sinking boat with a bit of tissue paper, yet the boat has many holes that are still leaking, it's a pointless and futile action. Which begs the question, where is this money REALLY going?
