A naked woman was rescued after she got stranded on a San Diego cliff on Tuesday, reported Fox5SanDiego.com.The woman, who was not identified in the report, was unharmed. But it took rescuers 30 minutes to rig a series of ropes to harness the woman.

Ah..... this was Blacks Beach??? Okay.... I didn't see that in the article and was sitting her trying to imagine the circumstances that might lead to being naked out there. I'm from OC and familiar with Black's Beach and it's repuation for being a nude beach.

You also need to descend stairs and paths down the cliffs on most of the beaches along there, so it would make sense if say, she was just wearing a towel while heading down to the beach, and slipped and fell down the cliffs...

This is just fear mongering and I am deeply offended by your effort to make me scared and all. I'm not going to believe it unless it appears in a double page spread of MSM.

Here in San Francisco, the SF Fire Dept has a regular Cliff Rescue Squad, as every summer people get stuck on the cliffs above several small beaches that are very tempting due to their inaccessibility, & the allure of the idea of being the only one on a lovely little beach.

I suppose it's possible she was on the beach, & got involved in climbing up the cliff face. It's much easier to go up than it is to come back down, & sometimes the inexperienced climber can freeze up, getting stuck in one spot.
The article did say people get stranded on the trails above the beach all the time. She was probably on the beach, & decided to take a stroll along a cliffside trail, getting stranded in the process. You'd think she'd take a towel along, but people will do stuff like that.

Back to San Francisco: along with our Baker Beach, which is famous for having a clothing-optional section, there is a smaller, "undocumented" nude beach, reached only after descending a cliffside trail that, back in the day, was half trail, half slide zone. I used to like to go there to meet women. Friends would ask me how it felt to meet someone in circumstances like that, & I would tell them it's like any other dating, only done backwards: first, the 2 of you get to see each other naked, and then you go to dinner.
