Hi everyone. My name's Dave. I've been visiting this site off and on for years now and I decided it was time for me to join and say hello.
I suppose I should tell you a little about myself. I'm 33 yrs old. I live in North Alabama. For as long as I can remember I have been interested in
the unusual things in life, the paranormal and such. I remember being 7 or 8 years old and reading books about UFO's, bigfoot, the loch ness monster
and Ancient Civilizations. I'm not sure where this interest came from seeing as no one in my family or circle of friends was ever interested in such
things.
I've recently realized that I have changed a great deal in the last 12 years or so. I can't think of any one thing that made me change but my
mindset has definitely changed drastically in that time. A few examples:
If you had asked 21 year old me what religion I was, I would have said christian. I would have told you that there is one god and he created all and
that the bible is absolutely his word for us to live by. If you asked me that same question now. I would have to say at best, I'm agnostic. I've
just done too much research and reading on my own to blindly believe everything I was told growing up. There are just too many things that don't make
sense.
If you had asked 21 year old me what my political views were, I would have told you I always vote straight Republican. I would have told you that they
are the party I identify with and they are much better in every way than those horiible democrats. If you asked me that today, I would honestly tell
you that I don't care. I don't even vote anymore because I don't believe in the illusion of choice anymore. I honestly don't think it matters one
bit who you vote for because the people that are really in charge of this country own them all anyway.
If you had asked me on 9/11/01 if I believed our own government would fake a terrorist attack I would have told you that you were crazy and
unpatriotic. Now, I honestly can't see how anyone that really takes the time to look at all the evidence can think otherwise.
If you had asked 21 year old me if I believed in out of body experiences. I would have told you there are no such things. That people are just
dreaming or making things up for attention. If you asked me that today, I'd tell you about my experience and how I know it was definitely no
dream.
Anyway, those are just a few examples. I have been reading many posts lately about people just not feeling "right" lately. I definitely agree. For
about the last 8-12 months I have felt like I was on the outside looking in on the wolrd and I've had this feeling of anticipation, like I'm waiting
for something to happen. I don't mean something to happen to just me but something to happen to the entire world. There's just a palpable feeling in
the air. I suppose that's why I finally decided to join and say hello. I really don't have anyone in my circle to talk about these things with.
Well, I suppose that's a long enough introduction . Hopefullly I'll get a chance to know some of you.
Speaking of things I never would have done 12 years ago, I never would have posted the following video and told you I agree with every single word of
it.
Personal Disclosure: Welcome! OL is sure a mod will be along soon to help out with an informative post etc. I also recommend utilizing the green chat
voyuer function on the ATS tool bar to the bottom of most ATS webpages [aka the ribbon]! It will enable you to watch who and what is being posted in
chat but unfortunately you wont be able to join or chat back until your post count reaches 200 posts or so.
Reply to this post with the reply function up top right of this post and that'll be another post towards your mandatory 20 posts before you can start
your own threads
Please message me using the message button on far left ATS tool bar [after you have made at least 20 posts] if you require any further help
whatsoever!
Welcome to ATS, in the same time frame or thereabouts that you give, 8-12 months, I have felt as though we are living in the twilight zone or the land
of confusion. I am a newcomer here as well and this site has helped put things into better perspective. I remember saying something doesn't feel
right. Or saying what is going on, something is changing. Now I am glad to have found others that feel the same.
