Actually, I was told by an administrator of this site that the options found under the search tab are superior to the searchATS field you show in your graphic.

As I understand it, the bottom circle is a less reliable search.

It aint as easy as you think, I always get error.

As i understand it too. I have always used the search tab, and not the google bar.

Thanks, though flags were not the reason for writing the post =) Watching the downhill slide of ATS kinda gets to me some times. The worst I feel is the "hate" threads that are becoming more and more common. The last few days I had seen multiple threads on the same topics, not just the libya thing, and I finally wanted to pull my hair out so I posted this =)

I always use the bar and not the tab. Although I solve the problem by just not starting many threads.

The mods are too all over the place with the closing threads for my taste, its too random and subjective imho.

BTW, multiple threads drive me nuts though sometimes the search function doesn't work so good..
As someone else suggested in another thread,
use google and search the thread title AND add in abovetopsecret..
Works better they say..
