Today and last week i have clicked on a link here only to get forwarded to some face virus scanner webpage that says its scanning my computer for viruses. This is a scam done to get people to download a fake virus scanner that puts a real virus on your computer and is only removed if you pay 30 bucks for the "full version" It only happens when im on ATS and has only happened since i have joined.

What internet browser are you using? If you're using Internet Explorer, get rid of it.

So this malware only works on IE while on ATS?

The same happened to me with Internet Explorer. The problem is almost certainly with major vulnerabilities in that browser. I've never had it happen with Firefox.

For me it only happens on ATS i don't plan on switching browsers just because one site has some fishy stuff going on.

Well Internet Explorer is rather unsafe compared to other browsers, you're much more vulnerable while using it. Browsers such as Firefox or Chrome are just simply better in every way. They're very customizable and do exactly what you want them to do.

[color=deepskyblue]IE is crap.

Firefox is slightly better.

Google Chrome is awesome.

The malware is not on ATS. It is most likely in one of the ads.

Download malwarebytes as a precaution. It has a free and a paid version. The free works just fine.

The answers you seek are in this thread. www.abovetopsecret.com...

this malware has been around for ages and itr's not coming from ATS, you likely got it in an email or on a site that doesn't scan their ads. You can read all about it in the thread linked above. There's even a free download that will remove it from your system.
