I've seen multiple threads of late pertaining to folks across North America (and beyond) experiencing prolonged episodes of low-frequency rumbling and others experiencing strange compass readings possibly related to anomalies in the Earth's magnetosphere. I have to admit that I have not had time to read all of the posts in every thread, there's just too much out there and it's increasing every day so apologies if someone has already put forward a similar or identical theory to the one I am about to propose.

I want to clarify that I am NOT claiming to be an expert in this or any related scientific field so I may be way off base with my idea and I have absolutely NO proof to back it up.

I also want to be clear that I did not consciously intend to attempt to solve the mystery behind these anomalies. I came across this theory quite by accident while entertaining myself with information relating to earth science, the ancient astronaut theory and current UFO / ET activities in and around our planet.

I also have three beliefs that tie directly into my theory:

1. we Earthlings are not the only intelligent beings to exist in our universe and beyond

2. the governments of this world are aware of WAY more than they own up to and purposely keep the general public in the dark about many things for many reasons, some of which are justified but many more that are not

3. the Earth's magnetosphere is in a constant state of flux and the magnetic poles do, on occasion, reverse polarity

OK, so on to the theory. Let's say for a moment that the earth is currently in the very early stages of a complete pole reversal. Many in the scientific community (and others, myself included) believe this does occur and could very well be happening to us right now. If that were the case, I'm sure our governments would be well aware of this and would have their top scientific minds working on potential solutions to slow or stop this reversal or at least mitigate its effects if that is even possible.

Assuming this is the case, what methods would they possibly employ to do this?

Give this a view and see if "clicks" for you like it did for me:

www.youtube.com...

So basically, what I am proposing is that either the governments, extra-terrestrial civilizations, or both working together in collusion are using specific, controlled frequencies in an attempt to alter / halt the magnetic pole reversal.

They may be conducting these activities using prolonged, controlled bursts of low frequency energy in key areas of the world which would account for the increasing instances of the experiences being reported here on ATS.

Sorry that I don't have the time or scientific knowledge to contribute to further to investigating the feasibility of this theory. That's why I'm tossing it out to the ATS community; there are many here who are much better equipped to investigate this further.

I have yet to really hear any local news other than the one in Florida. Give me DATA, Nobody has reported any strange noises into my states dispatch. ANYWHERE. So I am slightly perplexed as to why my state is on the map of places to hear. And yes I do have access to all the calls to dispatch throughout the state because of my job

Thanks for stopping by but this thread is not about validating or mapping all of the individual experiences. I am simply proposing a possible cause for what many are saying has occurred.

Please visit one of the many other threads if you'd like to challenge and/or debate the phenomenon.

Wow. Those "clockwise" and "counter-clockwise" movements look familiar? *cough*...cyclone...*cough*

Last summer my daughter & myself were standing in my front yard. We heard what sounded like rumbling thunder for at least 5 minutes. It was continuous & never seemed to sound any closer or further away. It was a beautiful summer day. Only a few clouds, but no rain. I had forgotten about this until I ran across this today. We live in Dayton, Ohio
