there is another thread in the breaking news forum but this is the correct area for the thread

they didnt crash land they had to eject there was no landing...one of them has only been rescued...but what if the wrong people get ahold of the other one?would we send in troops to retrieve him? and would that cause a more escalating scenario for us if so?

It means a rescue chopper would have been flown in ASAP from 1 of the many Naval ship sitting of the coast of Libya no doubt with special forces on board, as thats just what they do

i just thinks its ridiculas that there was one of our planes there in the first place...if it wouldnt have been then there wouldnt have been any reason for anybody to go in to get them...they are just looking for excuses to roll in...

Well it shouldn't be there anyway.

Quite clearly Libya's arsenal isn't a push over. but that's because its also Germany's and Russia's and China's and Korea's and Frances....... Sounds more and more like there is some form of defense on the ground that prevents certain armies attempting to occupy the land.

This is getting messier by the hour it seems. There is obviously a great deal we are not being told......Dont think the Libyans dont have shoulder fired anti aircraft rockets or truck mounted ones either.....
There could well be some more losses yet.
This could get expensive real fast.

this is their planned window for putting feet on the ground...i wouldnt be surprised if they shot down their own plane to cause the mess

Guys, we have a LOT of airplanes participating in this Libya thing … if you didn’t know that, then frankly you haven’t been watching the news very much! They’ve been talking about how the US has “unique capabilities” that our allies don’t have. Like, B2 stealth bombers flew all the way from Missouri to hit targets in Libya. We also have command and control aircraft (AWACS) and surveillance aircraft that track electronic signals, and planes that can detect moving targets on the ground (remember the air force hitting tanks during a dust storm in Iraq?). Our allies don’t have these.
The F-15 was not shot down … the Libyans don’t have anything left to hit it with except anti-aircraft guns and pilots aren’t stupid -- they don’t fly low enough to be hit by gunfire. F-15s are so old they are known to fall apart in the sky (one broke apart off the coast of Florida not many years ago).
We don’t have troops on the ground. The pilots are in US hands because immediately when a US plane goes down we have pararescue jumpers (PJs) on the move to pick them up. PJs are air force special forces trained specifically in going in fast and undetected to rescue downed pilots. They are vey good at what they do. They probably launched their helicopter from a ship right off the coast and the pilots are now on the ship.
If you don’t think our planes should be there then you should tell your Congressman who represents you in the government. Or don’t vote to elect a president who sends our military into war without a clear objective.

If US/NATO is saying it was shot down, it could be a false flag to invade Libya.

If the U.S. denies it and says it is mechanical failure, it really could have been shot down.

There was an article yesterday that confirmed US and UK troops have been in Libya for over 3 weeks!

These airstrikes don't happen unless Spec Ops are on the ground painting the targets with lasers and calling in the strikes to avoid civilians. Our Spec Ops guys actually called off a bombing run from 7 UK aircraft 2 days ago, because civilians had been packed into the palace to use as human shields. They had to scrap the bombing run.

Yes, we are on the ground in Libya, and we have been for weeks!

Let me get this straight ... so if the US says it was shot down (which it's not), it is a lie to justify an invasion ...

But if the US says it WASN'T shot down, that it was mechanical failure, then it's a lie because we don't want to admit it was shot down?? When has the US denied one of its planes was shot down? Scott Speicher, shot down in Iraq ... Scott O'Grady, shot down in the Balkans ... many other examples exist. This isn't a covert operation ... why would the US deny a shoot-down if that's what happened? To save face? Come on.

So which conspiracy is it? Inquiring minds want to know.

Skeptical of Skeptics

I really hate to ask ... but who is the ominous "they" who supposedly pick our President because our votes don't count?

I applaud anybody who does not vote just because they can. I think far too many people vote who really haven't a clue what they are doing. Kudos to gdaub23 for making an intelligent choice not to vote.
