I'll start off by saying I'm not sure if it's a no-no to link to another forum. If it is then please don't ban me ... just delete the thread.

forum.gaijinpot.com...

The above link is to a forum for foreigners living in Japan and people outside who are interested in Japan.

I'd like to say that I think many of the posters are deliberately spiteful and mostly a pretty NASTY bunch... You'll see.
I warn you because ... Well this is what a badly moderated forum gets like IMO.

I hardly ever post there, but there are few forums for foreigners here in English, so occasionally I participate.

Recently with the quake, the tsunami and the Fukushima disasters I got in touch and tried to have a few reasoned discussions about the implications - esp of the nuclear problem.

Well I've said my piece and I feel tired for my effort, but I think I may have assisted at least a few in making up their minds by providing info they didn't have (or didn't want to see).

Read the above article for yourselves and see what you think? Personally I was stony-faced reading it because it is a triumph of sugar coating a turd and selling it as a doughnut (donut).

And if you have a cast iron stomach then have a look around that forum and see the shills and the invincibly naive beliggerently attacking anyone who questions what the gov are saying.

I'm mael on that forum.

So I just want you to know the kind of stuff being shown here of the event.

Rose colored glasses? How about rose colored plate glass window. If one had only this forum as a news source one would think everything was just swell. Good find. Shows us the disinformation machine is everywhere.

I read a few threads on that board. Doesn't look like shills, just looks like a bunch of normal people getting through a crisis. Most of them pretty rational, some of them are on either side of the fence.

All pretty normal, considering the circumstances.

Most of the ones who are worried have already left that board.

But never mind the board ... How about the article?

You didn't link us to an article you linked us to a forum. If you want to do the homework, find the originally article and link us to it, then by all means go ahead.

I just went around random threads in the forum to see what the general attitude is.

OMFG! You mean in a BADLY moderated forum people are allowed to be themselves and express their views and ideas freely! Alert Obama and maybe he appoint a Forum Czar....as soon as he quits playing golf.

If you just want to link to the article, then just link to the article instead of the board, like this:

Food, water samples OK, Hyper Rescue Super Pump in action

I've linked to other boards that aren't in direct competition with ATS (like physicsforums) and nobody ever said anything to me about it. I'd never link to another conspiracy board in direct competition with ATS, that would be a no-no, as is quoting from other boards.

The article sounds like what I've heard on other MSM sources.

I wonder what took them so long to get the Hyper-Rescue unit there? It seems that should have arrived more quickly?
They don't explain the delay.

I think now I should have copy/pasted the article.

I didn't see a link there unless I would have just posted that. - But I could probably have found it if I'd spent time and searched for the article on the 'net.

Well I've never made a thread here before and I'll do it better next time.

No problem if you learned something, and yeah I just typed in a few words from the article title into scroogle and found it first try in less than 15 seconds.

You aren't allowed to copy/paste the whole article, no more than 15% of it, per the site rules and general copyright restrictions.

Please please please dont anyone from here post on that board , they are quite rightly trying to cling to any hope they can .
The last thing they need to be told is that they are being punished by some alien dolphins that originated from a huge undiscovered planet in our solar system that flourished during the (not-so)super moon who are now making weird rumbling noises in readiness of the end of the world.
