I came across a pretty interesting website that stated every masonic reference in television and media in general.

this is the link to the site------> www.freemasonry.bcy.ca...

In the site they talk about MTV Canada and how on MTV live "Behind Nicole Holness and Daryn Jones can be seen a square and compasses emblem on the brick wall". I have noticed it before when watching the show, and thats what this thread was going to be about originaly until i found this website. They've listed Hundreds of other things from movies, television, and corporations.

However I wanted to emphasise on the Masonic Temple in Toronto that houses MTV, and CTV.

The Masonic Temple, also known as the CTV Temple or the MTV Temple, is a six-storey building on the north-west corner of Davenport Road and Yonge Street in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, .

Construction began early in 1917, the Masonic ceremony of laying the cornerstone occurring November 17, 1917 and the first Lodge meeting taking place on New Year's Day, 1918.[1] At its peak, the Masonic Temple was home to 38 different Masonic bodies: 27 Craft Lodges, 6 Chapters (York Rite), 2 Preceptories (Knights Templar), 2 Scottish Rite Bodies and Adoniram Council.[2]

In the years before its sale to CTV, it had been known as The Concert Hall, and earlier, in the late 1960s, The Rockpile, a sitting-on-the-floor style concert venue which featured not only showcases for top local talent, but appearances by major international recording stars, including Toronto's first Led Zeppelin concert on February 2, 1969, during the band's inaugural North American Tour.

Although the location remained historically significant and was added to the City of Toronto's Inventory of Heritage Properties in 1974, the building has changed hands a number of times. In 1997, it was threatened with demolition: a developer had planned a new highrise residential building marketed to Asians, solely to exploit its "lucky" address of 888 Yonge Street.[citation needed]; but it was designated under the Ontario Heritage Act that same year. [3]

Also in the 1990s, the studio was the home of Open Mike with Mike Bullard, and was one of CTV Toronto's news bureaus. Also, notably, it has been rented as a rehearsal space by the Rolling Stones. In March 2006, the building became the broadcast home of the new MTV Canada. Since 2009 it has hosted the Polaris Music Prize.

CTV own's and operates BNN, CP24, A, Much, Much LOUD, Much More, Much More Retro,Much Vibe, Much Punch, MTV, MTV2, TSN, TSN2, RDS, NHL Network, ESPN classic, R15 Info Sports, Fashion Television, Bravo, Book Television, Discovery, Discovery World, ID, SC, Animal Planet, Comedy, Comedy Gold, E, Space, Access Television.

So is it any wonder why corporations are so powerful? They own everything! Yet they don't try to hide it, almost as if they want the world to know how powerful they really are. Anyways I just wanted to show how CTV ties in with the NWO they control the media so we can only see what they want us to see.

That's a nice bit of history on the MTV building. Sadly, Masonry could no longer afford the upkeep on the building and had to sell it. Much like the Masonic in Detroit. An amazing building with architecture you won't find in any new buildings. I hope someone can keep it up. It would be a shame to loose a building with such historical significance.

Hidden in plain sight maybe, especially if you can't decode the symbols.

As a member, I never saw or heard that. Not that it didnt exist at one time, but MUCH is archaic today, What was the date on that?
Things are different today. Hell, we dont even sing (good thing, us croaky bastards). I now they did many years ago, but no older brothers remember doing it later than '62 '63 or so.

EDIT It shows that was 1723. In last last couple hundred years, that went by the wayside I believe.

And by "dark", they are unknown to non members. "Dark" in a cynical context is actually humerous !

Yes, of course FM has its secrets, just like any other society or coporate body. People have private secrets. Everybody holds on to their own secrets. Sadly, with the advent of the internet, the secrets of FM are laid bare for all to see. It is not the fact that people are aware of what we do and how we do it, but the loss of the magical feeling when you experience the rituals. Once you know what to expect, the magic is gone. Rather like a kid and Santa.

Although I study FM rather extensively, I try to maintain that feeling of awe when I am endowed with the next Degree or Side Degree.

Smug? No, simply the access to an equal and on the level brother over dinner and drinks, and some laffs. Smug? You can email him at any time you like, Anyone can. No, not every bro in north America has an evening with him, but I did. What would YOU have expected him to tell me? Or is he not "high level"?

And of course, dinner was eaten is silence

And who is on top? What do you believe is the hierarchy of Freemasonry? Here is your chance to define what you believe are the lower level and the higher lever. I mean unless you set a clear definition we will never know what you consider high and low, and thus would be unable to argue as you could thereby constantly say, "that's not high enough".

Are you speaking about the Scottish Rite's numbering system? if you do, you have fallen for the misconception that degree number equals rank. Nothing could be farther from the truth.

again ,not all masonry has liberty

not all masonry has equality

not all masonry has fraternity .

If you understand this , then you are lying or are a fool ,who listens to the upper levels without thinking .

Enough said..

That is not what I asked is it? I asked for you to describe to me the hierarchy of Freemasonry. Can you? Or you just one to say no matter what attainment any Mason on this site has reached you will still say that we are low level? I do want to see what you think is the hierarchy.

Can you give me examples of Freemasonry not having liberty, equality, or fraternity?

I don't take anything at face value without some real evidence.

The only dark thing about it is that you have no idea of what any of it means. I read it on the internet so it must be true!

That is a great link. It is important to keep in mind that the vast majority of Masonic references are not made by actual Masons. TV and Movie writers love to latch on to symbolism to help tell their stories or create interest in their plots. Usually they are not even correct in how they use the symbols or portray the visualization in their work.

The only thing that Mason's hide is our ways of recognizing one another and gaining acceptance into a Lodge. That is it. Everything else is just normal lodge business, or education that is available in a variety of formats. Even our rituals are public knowledge and available in any bookstore.

I wish there was more to it, I really do. Freemasons are a fraternity of very high quality men, and I wish there was a conpsiracy for these guys to get more influence into our government. It used to be that way, the government used to be run by men with good intentions, but these days it is run by corporate puppets.

You haven't said ANYTHING yet? I just went back over every post of yours in this entire thread, and all you have done is claim the Masons here don't know anything, yet you have not added a single thing?

What is your source? Your intention? What is it that you think you know, that the rest of us Masons are supposedly missing? I, too, have dined with Grand Masters, and I have have many close friends in the 33rd degree. I have hosted international brothers in my Lodge and had lengthy conversations.

Please, enlighten us that only have first hand knowledge and experience as our guides. Tell us what it is that you have learned from some silly fiction book, that we have missed in our practice and experience in Masonry.

And the P2 Lodge has been discussed repeatedly on ATS, you are not the first. Maybe you missed the first line of the wiki page....

P2, was a Masonic lodge operating under the jurisdiction of the Grand Orient of Italy from 1945 to 1976 (when its charter was withdrawn), and a pseudo-Masonic or "black" or "covert" lodge operating illegally (in contravention of Italian constitution banning secret lodges

It was an illegal/covert/pseudo Lodge, and not a Regular Lodge of Masons.
