I tend to agree with you however it can easily be confirmed by my Egyptian sources either way. Until then, I'm not taking this seriously.

An abstention is not a vote against, I reckon they're just there to monitor their evacuation and NATO activities during our oil and water grab.

There has been alot of fear mongering lately when it comes to China. Mostly from scared people who don't like the fact that China will be the next super power. At the end of the day, these people want to put China in the worst possible light, and thats where fear mongering comes into the picture.

Maybe they are going to give Libya some missiles capable of sinking a carrier. Or they may be there to pick up Ghadafi so he can stage attacks later on to get back at the west.

China won't be the next superpower. I predict there is a massive war in the corner. And I think its gonna happen sometime within the next 25 to 30 years. All the main powers will be involved (US, EU, RUSSIA, CHINA, INDIA, JAPAN). Whoever wins that war (even a nuclear war has a winner), will be the only superpower for possibly a good portion of human history.

You really think that if there was a war like that, then there would be anything left? We would all be dead, and to be quite frank, i would be glad to be dead.

If you ask me,the military action is good, China is doing lord know what there and the dictator will be gone.
What comes afterwards is the worrying part. But i agree that the action is not about just oil. They don't eat oil and there's a LOT of western companies digging for oil already for the past 8 years.

Its common knowledge that China is the next upcomming super power and will eventually over take the US to become the Supreme Power of the world, so the fact there is a chinese war ship in international waters is understandable, why not? after all the US have plenty of ships over in the far east, i dont find this very alarming, they are well within their right to go wherever they want in international waters, and if i were you i would get used to it because i think its gonna start happening more often from now on.

????? What? That didnt make any sense or explain anything. You mean to say China is learning by watching as a spectator on how to conduct a war as a superpower from a carrier?

The reasons are probably mulitple.Face may be a big one to them.As well they are UN members and can be part of the armada if they choose or simply observe the carrier operations as they are building one for themselves right now......
Added to the intelligence data they will acrue, not a bad bunch of reasons......
