Interesting developments this evening. Just in...it seems Gaddafi's home/compund has been hit by a missle/bomb. Not known yet if he was there or got caught up int he bombing. This is clearly breakign news and i expect we will know more in the next few hours.

Personally i think Gaddafi will have survived this as he is probably cowering in an underground bunker somewhere perhaps deep underground the compound? I am sure he will be on tv uttering twaddle and hatred to the rest of the world before long.

Already? Wow.

Someone in a hurry?

Maybe its because the Festival of Minerva only lasts from March 19th to the 23rd. Gaddafi is the sacrifice. They had to get him before the 23rd!

Crazy stuff aside, it does seem strange somehow for the US/UN to assassinate/bomb the guy so quickly at his home.

Sky News are reporting that an administration block within the compound has been hit, but still awaiting confirmation.

Do NATO think he would have been busy sorting out his filing?

I thought they weren't going to go after Gaddafi's home/compound or him..I'm sure he is hunkered down somewhere safe..I don't think he would be dumb enough to stay were he might get bombed..But I'm sure we will get him in the end soon i hope..I just heard on fox they did hit his compound

Just by taking out Ghaddafi and they will have to take out all his sons too.......and they have no choice now.

Sometimes, certain actions change future predictions (depending on what you believe) and the whole Ghaddafi family HAVE to be taken out and there's no two buts about it.

I hope this doesn't stir Gadaffi up to using his Mustard Gas.

According to this article: www.washingtonpost.com... Libya handed over their Scuds to the US back in 2004, so they can't hit their neighbors. The mustard gas that they have stockpiled could be used, but would have no military advantage, but would only cause terror and the affect would be localized.

My question is how long have they been planning to attack Libya? Makes sense to get them to handover their one main offensive threat in case if they get attacked.

CNN just reported it was hit. Reporter was describing the compound live.

Supposedly it was 2 cruise missiles. What's funny is that the military has been saying that this would not be a target...yet it appears it was.

I was just listening to the press conference 2 hours ago when the military guy answered specifically that Gadaffi was not on the hit list.
Oops...

Gaddafi can't fly, why the hell are they bombing him? They said they were going to let the rebels handle that stuff.

I was'nt comfortable about the French, American and British airforce going in at this stage but now that they have.......they have no choice but to finish the job and finish it good because they know if they don't, Europe will become chaos within a matter of weeks not months.

Maybe they were trying to lull Gaddafi into a false sense of security. Then, BLAM, got you!!

Either that or the missiles were so off course?

I'll go with the first

Didn't Reagan do the same thing years ago?

Sean Hannity will now be a huge Obama supporter!

Of course he was bombed as soon as possible, he has been saying things recently that are confusing things to say the least. His silence will put an end to some unwanted questions. That may sound cruel but of course we are not dealing with kind people.

The stuff Libya turned over to us was a joke.

There was pictures on the front page of the local paper.

It went to the Pantex Plant outside Amarillo for disassembly.

It was a couple of 55 gallon drums and a bunch of trash.

articles.sfgate.com...

With all that nervous fire over Tripoli...It was probably friendly fire.

Well the Arab League was only supporting a no fly zone. They did not support this.

If the Arab league turns and changes their mind all hell will break loose.

Let's look at the Arab League teaching's for the most part.

Hate and Blame the West for their problems

Now let's look at the Arab Business with the West.

We will support you but not in public.

It's all about the money and power while keeping its people under control. The West does the same thing.

Of course, that is not to say that the West hasn't given them real reasons to hate and blame us over recent years.
