Deal with the devil? Where do I sign up?

I think Lucifer gets a bad rap.

If God didn't want humans to eat of the Fruit of Knowledge, why place the damned thing in Eden for crap's sake? After all, if you don't want a toddler drinking toilet cleaner, you lock the cabinet now don't you?

Of course, God in the Old Testament tended to behave like a psychotic 13 year old only child with mood swings.

I don't know if I'd be willing to completely sell my soul, but I'm open to negotiations. I could give him like a couple years in hell, in exchange for a few things if he wanted to take that deal. I don't know if it works that way though.

I am not saying everyone that has been mentioned has made this deal.

One individual that I would like to point out that it was quite obvious, in my opinion, that some demonic mischief occured, is the beloved Michael Jackson, that's a story in itself, I've heard claims that his father sold his son's soul so he could be famous. Just look at what happened to the poor fellow. He, however, did not die at the age of 27. Still a sad story

Then again it could all be coinsidence, some explanation made up by the average joe comunity to make it seem like celebs aren't as great as they appear. You may take it however you please.

The truth is there is no Devil, that was made up to scare people into going to church and giving a tribute to the priests. And being a Pagan, or a Wiccan, is not Devil worship, no matter how much you wish it to be.

Bob talks in code anyway. I was wondering why Bob made those three religious albums, I guess the Devil made him do it. Who knows, as Bob says" Sometimes the devil comes as a man of peace."

The Earth is Satan's domain - is it not? Research would indicate to anyone who would think about this seriously - history indicates there are powerful and long living entities which have visited us, and have had great influence on our culture and civilisation. There is a discernible pattern in the Music and Fame industry - shrouded in much secrecy; though what has escaped lips is puzzling, and at times unnerving, when one considers what these celebrities are saying.

It would be foolish to pontificate the Devil here only on a Christian basis (pardon the pun). After much research, it is my assertion that all major world religions were inspired by the [wo]man/entity we know as Satan - who in all likelyhood is actually Jehovah (Enlil) himself, rather than Lucifer/Enki/The Snake. This can be demonstrated by following names:
Enlil was represented by Jupiter - Jupiter was known as JOVE in Rome, when pronounced in Latin - it is heard "Yoh-Way" or, obviously "Yahweh". There is a temple in Rome which I believe Caesar had constructed which was named Jupiter-Ba'al. Ba'al when translated means "Lord God" or, Ba - El ( we see El in IsRaEl - ISIS AMEN RA + EL or ELOHIM)

You will notice in Genesis that only in Chapter 1 is God ever referred to solely as GOD - After Chapter 2 he is only referred to as LORD God. Ring a bell (bull + el)? lol

isn't the devil the master of lies, isn't it possible these people had these talents to begin with and the devil targeted these individuals before they matured and tricked them into worshipping him by promising untold riches and fame.

when they reached their full potential they then gave credit to the devil but the devil didn't actually do anything.

isn't also possible the devil, sensing their talents, blocked them so they couldn't use them, and then came along promising gifts they already had but in actuality all he did was stop blocking it so they can use their creative talents, again, tricking them into worshipping him.

the devil is a piece of sh-t in the gigantic order. he is good for nothing, all i have to do is think that garbage is going to burn like a measly flea ridden dog. when i step in sh-t, i hold that sh-t in infinitely more regards than the devil.

i am proud my God, is my God. and if one day, God in His love and mercy, decides to let me into Heaven, i will be content and ashamed.

well, his chief commander, not mine. what bob dylan fails to realize is God is infinitely more powerful than satan. God can have him crushed like a can of tuna if he wants.

since he has knowledge of the devil, he should know this. he should also know he can go to God, or Jesus, anytime he wants.

then the devil would fear him.

That said, I don't believe you. Ozzy puts on an act.... John Lennon was one of the most talented artists in the history of mankind... He needed no deal with the devil... Kurt Cobain and Jimmi Hendrix... They were amazingly talented and became so of their own accord.

Anton Levey was a big proponent of Satan and he died alone and diseased despite being the head of the First Church of Satan. When the devil is done with you he will crush you and throw you away, just like you or I would discard a soda can.

If you don't believe in such things then you can surely recognize that a reckless lifestyle is often a short one. On the other hand bad things happen to good people as well as to bad people.

that's true, that's why many atheist and even people here on ats go around content and full of arogance and pride hollering that God and the devil don't exist, it's all fantasy etc and act that they know more than you and are more intelligent.

why, because they are happy, they are left alone and their live's go on in blissful ignorance, meanwhile, people who resist the devil and these evil forces are tormented day and night.

for them, the devil is not a fanasty. but try explaining that to the people who don't believe because they are to weak and cowardly to resist and to scared to worship God.

Great post. I agree... The Devil is much like Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny. Originating from earlier roots, possibly based on a real person or group of people, but over time transfigured into a comic book style, fictional villain or hero.

Superstition, that's what you're talking about. God is the force that moves through every living thing and connects us all. "god", was that dude Yaweh/YHWH/Jehova, etc. He's the guy that highjacked the title "God". He and his organization did create us, but only to be their slaves. He was not God.
