Aside from the mess that IS this world as far as how we feel towards one another. Love isn't a priority it seems, hatred and mistrust are a global issue and likely not one that will just "disappear" any time in the future. Its generally accepted that there are some things we can't live without.

  • Food
  • Water
  • Shelter
  • Clothing?

Generally speaking we all have a governement no matter where you live on earth. These are the people that collect taxes, set the laws, keep the peace
...etc etc. The amount of money they collect from their citizens is unreal, and supposidly it goes to keeping the roads "fixed", health care, and other things which we'll never see...

My question is, IF these are the "necessities of life", why are they not Free? Why do we pay our governments all this money every day of our lives, yet theres starving homeless people in every country in the world? Why do oiur governments horde money, when they could be helping its own people. Why do they line their pockets with our money when they could be feeding the poor, giving them shelter and homes and clothing.

There must be a solution to this problem. The Governments of our world preach world peace, yet they can't even provide the fundamental necessities of life to their own people! This is a world wide problem that must be fixed!

If you look at those countries like Ethiopia, theres litterally hundreds of commercials every minute asking you to help them and donate to them...but do they see any of the money? What good would it do if they did actually get this donated money, they can't eat it! They can't ware it! Oh but i see, the money goes towards "buying" them food and shelter and clothing
So, we're back to square one...

On the other hand i garentee the leaders of that country are living the Good life, while it people starve and die...

Ladies and gentilmen there must be a solution to this problem! I don't know if there needs to be a petition started or what, frankly politics disgust me.

Perhaps we can figure out a solution to this problem, i don't have it... but i know it needs to be fixed

Corruption, greed, and secrets are some of the main problems. I remember reading somewhere that an insane amount of the US's tax dollars are spent on Black Ops military projects, I think it was literally in the TRILLIONS for EACH year. So the things that our money goes to fund are kept a secret from us, how stupid is that? And like 95% of the countries wealth is horded by a small minority of the countries population, somewhere around 5% or less has 95% of the wealth, and it is just sitting in a bank going to waste. That's whats wrong with this country, I can't say the same for other countries, but I can imagine corruption, greed, and government secrets are not just limited to the USA.

To answer your "why" is very simple. Greed.

1. Food - Vertical Farming. Read up on it. Building skyscrapers and growing our fruits and veggies in them. When the food is grown in the cities it also cuts down on the shipping of it all over the world. You have a 365247 growing period. No need to take up the massive amount of area we currently are using to grow horizontally. Also we would have more space for cattle which would allow them to live a much more comfortable life, till the end that is.

2. Water - Using up and coming alternative energy sources like the E-Cat cold fusion generator, and all the other kinds that have been discussed ad nauseum here on ATS, we can desalinate the water from the ocean providing enough for billions more than we currently have on earth.

3. Shelter - Why do people think they need thousands of square feet and multiple stories to live comfortably. We need to grow up and learn to live closer to each other. There are plenty of ways to make a small space very functional and very comfortable.

4. Clothing - Hemp. I know it's been done to death and is a rather "Hippie-Pot-Head" thing, but if you read up on it you will find it is the most versatile fiber on the planet and with a bit of processing it can be very comfortable.

I hope this helps. Good questions.

Maybe ATS should create a new constitution that covers the blind area of our former constitution

... up to and including free flow of goods

I don't think it's the constitutions fault, it's the people who slither their way into the loopholes for their own personal gain that is the problem. Write the perfect constitution, and some greedy corrupt puppets will still find a way to exploit it. Human nature if anything is the problem, how do we fix that?

We all know the reasons why this is happening, but remember this thread is aptly named "We need a solution"

We don't need a discussion on why its happening.....This discussion needs to be HOW to solve it...

Go back in time, exterminate all pre-historic humans, and hope that evolution takes a more natural course. That's all I got.

We need to convince those wealthy 5% to be generous with their money, to help out the poor who really need it, even if its just a couple hundred dollars each. They have around 95% of the countries wealth, imagine if each of those rich fellas just took 1-5% of their money and donated it to charities to help rebuild bad neighborhoods, build food shelters, create job programs, etc. That would be TONS of money, and they still have tons if it in the bank too! It's a win win, but I guess they don't see it that way. I don't know how we would go about convincing them to share the wealth, because it's not like us peasants can get into contact with those hot-shots, they probably see us as second class citizens who aren't worthy of breathing the air that they breathe.

The love aspect that you got side-tracked away from in complaining about governments can be easily accomodated by teaching in culture and society (schools) the process of deep, meditative enlightenment. So I would add that "need" to your list. We simply have our attentions focused on the other aspects when in truth they are fulfilled according to how we have been trained to attend to them.

True enlightenment would end much of this consumerism that the world is enjoying so much these days. It would work against the greed, jealousy and hate that belabors people.

Enlightenment can foster contentment. Can you ask for more?

This is just a snippet of our future Constitution

Constitution of 2012

This constitution calls for the forming of civilizations up to 400 people per tribe, group, gang. Get in your groups everyone! Each tribe will work with each other and is responsible for growing and gathering their own food, and sheltering all that is part of it. This constitution will be put into place for all that are still here after December 21, 2012.

This constitution also calls for the abolition of all forms of power over the mind of man and for man to at last be free to live in harmony with the Earth and care for himself. As demonstrated by previous forms of power that "care's" for it's people, cannot be trusted to have any power over and among us humans as man himself cannot be trusted with any form of power because most likely he will abuse that power.

We have learned from our past and agree to these terms and conditions

Thank you. I am the annoying person that keeps trying to introduce my ideas. Many are likely sick of me, but mostly people are positive in their response.

I hope you choose to read my two threads.

I like it already. Our constitution praises that all men are created equal, but we sure as hell don't die as equals.

However crazy this may sound, maybe communism is the way to go. I mean sure, knowing that the people with lots of money will help you out in times of need may encourage others to not work as hard, but if we somehow created a more laid back form of communism that still involved the rich helping out the poor without that lack of effort, we could really get somewhere.

I agree with this but not everyone is destined to find enlightenment. If every person learned the true spiritual path there would be none of this...sadly this isn't the case. Regardless of how many people meditate it doesn't teach you love for one another. Mind you it can but if you don't approach meditation with love, yes you open your mind but you don't always open your heart.

Truely the world would be a better place if meditation was taught from a young age, but this isn't the case.

I'm sayinnnn'

Problem #1 Money
Problem #2 Power
Problem #3 Respect

3 things everyone wants? or everyone thinks they want and they have been trained to want to keep the current system in place? Once one has these 3 things he becomes crazed or possessed if you will.

In conclusion- The 3 things I don't want in my life. I want to remove all things in the way of me getting what I need. What I need and what we all need is love but what we have is fear. With these wants you will also fear not having them. I hold fear and love on the pedistool of all things because it cannot be taken lightly. Try to extinguish fear and expand love.

I think Greed is the main issue...People that hoard money.

I mean everyone should have the right to work as hard as they want and earn whatever they can, but theres people that earn so much money, they can't even begin to try and spend it....so they hoard it away and let it make even more money...

Perhaps there should be a cap on what you're allowed to bank, and any surplus from any company, person, or business beyond what would sustain the company, person, or business until death be put into a savings fund. Then divided equally amongest the citizens of that country each year...

Just a thought....

So then why should I work? I could just be lazy and sit home waiting for my equitable distribution check. Why should I contribute at all? My needs are simple.

hmm, how about if it was equally divided and put onto your paycheck. If you don't work, you don't get a paycheck
