If any other of our presidents had criticized a state law that he admitted he never even read, would you think that he is just an ignorant hot head?

If any other of our presidents joined the country of Mexico in a lawsuit against a state (Arizona) in the United States to force that state to continue to allow illegal immigration, would you question his patriotism and wonder which side he was on?

If any other of our presidents had pronounced the Marine Corps like Marine Corpse, would you think him an idiot?

If any other of our presidents had put 87,000 workers out of work by arbitrarily placing a moratorium on offshore oil drilling on companies that have one of the best safety records of any industry because one foreign company had an accident, would you have agreed?

If any other of our presidents had used a forged document as the basis of the moratorium that would render 87,000 American workers unemployed would you support him?

If all our presidents had to have a Teleprompter installed to be able to get through a press conference, would you have laughed and said this is more proof of how inept they are and is really controlled by smarter men behind the scenes?

If any other of our presidents had spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to take his First Lady to a play in NYC, would you have approved?

If any other of our presidents had reduced your retirement plan holdings of GM stock by 90% and given the unions a majority stake in GM, would you have approved?

If any other of our presidents had made a joke at the expense of the Special Olympics, would you have approved?

If any other of our presidents had given Gordon Brown a set of inexpensive and incorrectly formatted DVDs, when Gordon Brown had given him a thoughtful and historically significant gift, would you have approved?

If any other of our presidents had been so Spanish illiterate as to refer to "Cinco de Cuatro" in front of the Mexican ambassador when it was the 5th of May (Cinco de Mayo), and continued to flub it when he tried again, wouldn't you have winced in embarrassment?

If any other of our presidents had burned 9,000 gallons of jet fuel to go plant a single tree on Earth Day, would you have concluded he's a hypocrite?

If any other of our presidents' administrations had okayed Air Force One flying low over millions of people followed by a jet fighter in downtown Manhattan causing widespread panic, would you have wondered whether they actually get what happened on 9-11?

If any other of our presidents had failed to send relief aid to flood victims throughout the Midwest with more people killed or made homeless than in New Orleans, would you want it made into a major ongoing political issue with claims of racism and incompetence?

If any other of our presidents had created the position of 32 Czars who report directly to him, bypassing the House and Senate on much of what is happening in America, would you have ever approved.

If any other of our presidents had ordered the firing of the CEO of a major corporation, even though he had no constitutional authority to do so, would you have approved?

So, tell me again, what is it about Obama that makes him so brilliant and impressive?

He's a very good liar.

He has double speak down pat and he loves Jay Z.

Oh and I guess he like to fight wars and never served, add chickenhawk.

Any president will have as long a list as the one in the OP. I'm impressed with him as a politician. He beat the Clintons. No small feat.

Nothing whatsoever.

Let's get one thing straight. I don't care for Obama but one thing he isn't is a hot head. He is very slow to anger and it takes a lot to get him riled up. A very becoming quality in a grown man because God knows this generation is full of young psychoes ready to fly off the handle at the drop of a dime. We could learn something from him in that aspect.

He only beat the Clinton's because he based his campaign around lying, and attracting young voters..

I will give it to him though, He is a brilliant Actor.

Taking over a country that was left bankrup,with a financial crisis,left by a 8 years of accomplishments of George BUSH??......not mentioning his drinking problem.....and u mention teleprompters,so its ok to fall into words like BUshisms?????ho,,,forgot....he never got Osama Bin Laden,and he promised that to the american people.besides in all those years of wars,trillions were spend, to found out Iraq didnt have WMD????...So lets see ,a new president inherited all this,and we the people want him to solve ALL OF THIS IN months after his taking over??...mmmm...This is a lot more than have just a new kind of guy in office,the previous damage to the economy reaches deeply into the system.

I dont think anyone said he was brilliant, i think hes impressive because he knows how to keep his cool. but i dont really care for him, i just remembered that it was him or mccain.

id like to add, the economy is on the rebound, at least he tried for healthcare, the housing market is crap, but was it really his fault? we're leaving iraq, was this country better than it was in 2008? i think so

He is a brilliant speaker when properly prompted by his writers.

He convinced the average American citizen to sit down and shut up due to his very presence.

His posters and slogan where very impressive.

But in all honesty I have nothing man, is he brilliant? Could be I have seen little that supports true brilliance, skilled but not brilliant. Is he impressive? As a manufactured celebrity sure, as the leader of a country, not so much.

Obama has done a GREAT job of increasing the size of government.
Obama has done an EXCELLENT job of passing unpopular, poorly thought out legislation.
Obama has done a WONDERFUL job of placing a number one country around number 3 or 4.

Well he's very diligent about his golf game. He wants to improve himself in that area so how can anyone not agree with that?

He also likes to surround himself with basketball players. Maybe he is trying for a spot on the next BBall Olympic team?

He also received a Nobel Peace Prize then sent more troops to war in Afghan and now attacks Libya. How can one not think he's not brilliant? He's got everybody snookered.

He is good at marketing & advertising,

He is charismatic,

He was good at targeting a group of apathetic young people to follow him.


He is a poor leader
A poor politician,

A poor American
