I'll look for the original quatrain in a bit if I can find my Nozzy book in this mess of a room
.

Ok found the book, haven't found the right quotation yet but i found one concerning Tobruk with some relevance?

La tour de Boucq craindra fuste barbare
Un temps, long temps apres barque hesperique
Bestaile, gen, meubles tous deux feront grand tare.
Taurus & Libra quelle mortelle picque?

This is translated in the book to
Tobruk will fear the barbarian fleet for a time, then much later the Western fleet. Cattle, people, possessions, all will be quite lost. What a deadly combat in Taurus and Libra. Apparently Taurus refers to the 8th of April.

People should understand that predictions are just probabilities based on the existing mass consciousness at the time of prediction. If the mass consciousness changes, so is the prediction. No prediction is set in stone so do not despair and think that you are helpless. You can change the outcome by focusing on the outcome that you want.

You don't like war? Focus on peace. You don't like misery? Focus on happiness. The illuminati knows this too well and that is why they want the people to feel helpless and desperate. Take back your power and focus on the outcome that you want.

Ok i'm pretty sure this is the original

Prince libinique puissant en Occident,
Francois d'Arabe viendra tant enflammer,
Scavans aux lettres sera condescendant,
La langue Arabe en Francois translater.

The Libyan prince will be powerful in the West, the French will become so enamoured of Arabia; learned in letters he will condescend to translate the Arab Language into French.

The book says of this
This is another quatrain which made little sense when the book was first written but which now appears much clearer. It reiterates the connection that Nostradamus believed to exist between France and the Middle East and the Libyan reference is almost certainly one to President Gadaffi and his influence in the West, due to his involvement with Palestine and the oil problems of the West. The reference to a translation from Arabic to French is puzzling, as Algeria was French/Arabic and how now become a country in its own right. The first French/Arabic dictionary appeared in 1505, but I can not think of any other work of literary merit that was translated under these conditions.

The book, for anyone interested is
The Prophecies of Nostradamus by Erika Cheetham 1982.

The 'lunar ones' I believe is a direct reference to Muslims since they follow the Lunar calendar opposed to the Gregorian calendar which follows the Solar calendar.

I may be wrong here, but hasn't Arabic already been translated into French? In which case this is referring to events many centuries ago ...... As indeed were most of Nostradamus' mutterings.

Nostradamus believed that all events happen in cycles, because he was very interested about Astrology. All events that have happened might happen again.

And Nostradamus didn't write all his quatrains. And huge part of his original quatrains are lost forever. Part of his text was so hard that some of translations are translated wrongly and he used to mix multiple languages to his quatrains (French with Italian, Greek, Spanish, Hebrew and Latin)

Here is the correct meaning of the above two Quatrains.

Libyan leader Col Muamar Kaddafi powerful in the west part of his country, will outrage France and it's
Arab allies Nostradamus Full Catalogue of Quatrains

Probably already been covered but just thought i'd throw em in.

Thank you for these, here is the correct meaning of the above two Quatrains.

Libyan leader Col Muamar Kaddafi powerful in the west part of his country, will outrage France and it's
Arab allies, Kaddafi will learn french and start to give his speeches in french.

When they will be close the lunar ones will fail,
from one another not greatly distant,
cold, dryness, danger towards the frontiers,
even where the oracle has had its beginning.
Q 4.4

When the Americans are close to finishing him, they will fail
The lunar ones refers to the United States because they were the first to set foot on the moon, hence the lunar ones. and from then the rest of the forces will fail as well.

There's more to come but I think that should be enough to clarify for now.

The first part of that could refer to a declaration of a ceasefire by Libya which turns out to have been a lie but had/has the affect of stopping a large part of the military action against it...?

moon is not Symbol of Islam and mostly Wahhabi or Sunni people use that symbols. We (shia) believe that Mohammad told us not to worship any idol and do not share God with anything else . this symbol is a symbol of ancient pagans in the land of arabia.

Allah is consisted of two parts : al + elah it clearly means The God ( the one and only ).

Ra is the name of a goddes . the goddess of sun.

I just know that Christ suffered and was tortured to tell people : praise the god.
today we see people call theme selves open minded who are just going to the ancient time and dig out the Idols and goddesses that prophets of god hided.

be more careful and use precise sources . regards

Regarding the 'translate the Arab language into French' bit. I feel this may refer to the spreading of this Arab uprising to Morocco. Morocco is Arab/French speaking & in the general region. This is what I found:

Officially Morocco is a bilingual country, but the linguistic reality is rather complicated. The official languages are Arabic and French, but Arabic is what "the man in the street" speaks and French is taught in school, so the latter is more common in government and business and among upper-class Moroccans. In addition, there are three main dialects of Berber spoken all over the country (although at the moment I have no way of telling any of them from Arabic).

Lunar may refer to a flag sign, ie Turkey (crescent moon) who have been a bit quiet so far over this so which way will they go - we don't know yet. The signs & words by the sage are all there though. I feel what he saw he said....it may not be as accurate as if he watched it on TV but the outline of what he's saying is VERY accurate thus far - you must see that!!

I'm not a big fan of Nostradamus. His predictions are almost always about France....

I can't see Qaddafi leading any massive rise of Arabs. He doesn't have influence over his own people now also he isn't an Arab. Try North African

Hey Slayer, If you are not a big fan of Nostradamus and his French ethnicity what are you doing posting here?
On the other side of things, Libya considers them selves to be an Arabic country and if you do some research you will find plenty of back up to this statement. So as a loose term I feel Arab nation is suitable, their current written language is Arabic, clearly although they are situated in North Africa you will find that many of them are of Semitic origin. You will see that it is a whole mixture of culture, perhaps so intertwined that we are unable to understand. As I know you are capable of great research, I also know you are able to see how complex this matter is.

Native Libyans are primarily of Berber and Arab heritage. Small Tuareg and Tebu tribal groups in southern Libya are nomadic or seminomadic. Among foreign residents, the largest groups are from other African nations, including citizens of other North African nations (primarily Egyptians) as well as sub-Saharan Africans. The native population of Libya is a mixture of Berber and Arab ethnicities, for the most part qualifying as Arabized Berber, although there remains a small minority of Berber-speaking tribal groups. Despite this, Muammar Gaddafi denies the very existence of such an ethnicity as the Berbers. There is also some Punic admixture, and a curious traditional element from the Romanized Punics such as the Roman toga can be seen in Tripoli's people and is used by Muammar Gaddafi himself. Libyan society is to a large extent structured along tribal lines, with more than 20 major Arabized Berber tribal groups.

Also a long trip through the area will give you a much better perspective. In the south of Spain there is an enormous Arabic influence, it's in the blood. Instead of scanning people with the mind and data, they use their feelings. What I mean by this, is the true semantic people on this occasion could easily go with their feelings. Be careful not to underestimate Gadaffi and his allies, these people are full of surprises.semitic origin

It is funny and dangerous that you call him a prophet.

it seems some people here do not think and then speak. they talk as it comes.

do you believe in some thing exactly ?

do you have the courage to accept what you have been doing is wrong ?

do you have the hope to start from the beginning ?

Now this is in a book over 25 years ago.

Sensationalism at its best! No one has been able to decipher Nostradamus with any certainty till today! And what about 'Libya'? The name Libya came to be used for the political country we know now around 1934 by the Italians. Historically it consisted of three countries as shown below:

With the fall of the Axis powers in the World War II, Great Britain and France divided Libya: Tripolitania and Cyrenaica come under British control and Fezzan come under French control. In 1949 Cyrenaica become an independent emirate, with Emir Sayyid Idris Sanussiy as leader.

However, within a span of two years, the United Nations granted independence for a united Libya.

Now if that be the case, then it comes about that there was no country named 'Libya' when Nostradamus penned his prophesies. So how has the author presumed what Nostradamus meant as the modern Libya when it didn't even exist then?

Most of these translations and deductions have been twisted by many an author to make big bucks from selling sensationalism!

You have just supported the prediction. If Libya was not 'Libya' when he wrote then explain his use of the word from the original text:

'LIBINIQUE'

????

I recall also that he used HISTER instead of HITLER. As I stated he wrote what his saw - either through his 'sprying glass' (sic) or whatever source he tapped into. He was not watching CNN....he saw images, names & the shock for him could have been immense. Perhaps he misspelt a name or 2....try watching CNN now & 10 minutes later recall every name.....It makes sense.
