Does advocating for abolishing the IRS and the Federal Reserve really constitute challenging our form of government (which was actually created as a republican form of government)? He was using real silver, out in the open, as an expression of his ideals and opinion. I didn’t really agree with everything he put in his design, but he obviously wasn’t counterfeiting. Is it illegal to protest against government policies we disagree with? Do we live in a free country? Do we really want to live somewhere where they can dictate what we can and cannot use in private voluntary transactions? What else can they just decide to classify as “anti-government”, and start throwing people in jail?

The idea that the US govt has the power to say what money we use is complete nonsense. Sure, the Constitution says they can coin money, it doesn’t prohibit the people from creating their own currencies, does it? Regardless, this is absurd.
