Arghhh I want to scream these last two weeks seriously seems like the SHTF or is about to.
Seem like a slow motion apocalypse where everything falling apart but everyone is do distracted to care.
Quick Charley Sheen do something crazy to distract us all from the countless storms that are brewing on this earth.

Hang in there. It's all going to work out. You may want to make sure that you do have extra food and water. Just buy several of the plastic-wrapped cases of Aquifina, Dasani, Nestle... whatever is cheapest. Then get canned soups like Chunky, Cambell's Select Harvest, Progresso, Campbells (standard) and/or whatever else is on sale. Buy them on sale and you double your dollar value (many places have periodic sales and offer "Buy one get one free" as promotionals. Doing that alone will ensure you and your family have enough food to last 2 - 3 weeks if/when there is a local disaster.

Before a disaster strikes, storing food sounds very unimportant. AFTER a disaster hits, you wish you'd have done so, as *everyone* scrambles for food and water. Once the infrastructure breaks down, the government may not get you food and water for days or weeks. Those who aren't prepared suddenly find themselves starving, thirsty and desperate enough to behave like animals in order to survive (and sometimes that means stealing your resources).

Wow... Sorry. I meant for this to be a "Hang in there it's all going to be okay" post for you. --And it still is. Just do your part by stocking up 2 weeks worth of food AT LEAST. I'd go for a month (including thinking about your family, kids and pets). Hey, so far no earthquake in California!!! I don't know what I'd do without Hollywood.

Gee! What is this Thread about? Its about two persons named "John Doe" who might habve been the same person, calling in because they see a oil spill on the oceans survace. The proper agancies swarm out and find nothing. Why are we bothering with this? First there where "Two unknown callers" in another report there where "multiple". Do we know of at least ONE of them? Do we know of a person that claims he has seen something? I could'nt find him, could you? Do we have a areal foto? Why not? The people that claim to have seen it, must have been in a boat or a plain. did they have no cameras with them? No modern smart fone? Why are there no fotos at all? Well, maybe its me. I haveÄnt had my morning coffee yet....

No, The Coast guard, in this case, is not good enough for me, because the coast guard only got "dispatched" but it does'nt say anywhere that they found anything, does it? It only claims, "two" or "multiple" callers claimed, they saw a oil spill, but as it looks, nobody else has seen it yet....

Look, dont get me wrong, I dont realy care if a bunch of Guys dance on their tables from exitement, because two unknowns have called in, claiming to have seen an oil spill. Just keep your rythem, but excuse me if I wait with the dancing until I hold something substantial in the hand of my mind...

I would like to remind people that were reports in the past of the sea floor being ruptured and the possibility that BP wouldn’t be able to contain or stop the chain-reaction of the sea floor cracking open and leaking massive amounts of stuff. I know they were trying to seal the leaks shut but it was giving them trouble. If all the info. is to be believed, of course...

This thing could still be going on while everyone's distracted...

All the Info we gained during that Deepwater Horizon spill was very dodgy. In fact, the sort of Info we are getting out of Japan these days is almost a mirror image of the technic of Info release. Its probably the same PR agency working on it....

I work in the oil industry in Kazakhstan. Please don't be so naive to think they stopped anything after Horizon. We use it every day as a way to find out new ways to continue deep drilling.
I wish I to be wrong, I wish I didn't need the money, I wish I wasn't in the industry. But I am.

Some may wonder if they actually stopped the leak fully in the first place. I'm from New Orleans and most of my friends got huge checks (well like 30k) as long as they promised not to sue BP in the future.
That smells. Worse than me after a week of no showers.

I have friends and family in the area- called one of them last night to ask if he had heard about this. He said no, but that a buddy of his had been called up yesterday by the company that he was working for last year putting out boom. They asked him if he would like to come back to work. Hmmmmmmm. Not good in my opinion

wall street journal also reporting :

The Coast Guard has since launched additional aircraft and boats to the scene from New Orleans and Mobile, Ala., to collect samples of the substance. Ranel said the area where the substance has been reported is about 20 miles west of where the Deepwater Horizon rig exploded last April, killing 11 and unleashing the largest offshore oil spill in U.S. history.

The Oil Spill Liability Trust Fund, which holds oil royalties to pay for spill clean-up costs, has been opened, the Coast Guard said.

sounds like the oil companies KNOW what it is...already opening up the purses

Had a very interesting - bone chilling - conversation about this with a friend late last summer. She had just had weekend company - her husband's longtime friend working for NASA with inside information. My friend said that the NASA guy told her that the BP DeepWater oil spill had never really been stopped - that it could not be stopped - ever - with the technology that we currently have. NASA guy said that a hole/crevice had been opened up by the exploision that could not be filled/contained/fixed and that the spill would go on pretty much - FOREVER. At the time I didn't know what to make of the conversation - now it seems like there could be some merit to NASA guy's statements.

Exellent thought Goal Shack! Our life styles create the need for exorbatant quantities of power - 5 TV's in a single household, multiple computers, way too many electrical appliances - do you really need an electric can opener?? -leaving lights on when no one's in the room. . . we waste power in a zillion ways! The only way to clean up the planet is to start with the man or woman in the mirror - to cut our own comsumption of energy. If we don't do it soon Earth will make us do it. Stop FRACKING for natural gas - stop building nuke power plants - stop drilling offshore for oil. Find and implement better solutions NOW!

I see that a few others supplied you with links to images that are new and came in hours after the OP.

I suggest actually reading through the entire thread, especially when it is a developing story. If you had, you would have seen on page 3 that I posted an update with additional articles that finally hit, one of which included photos of the new slick.

ATS Post Page 3

Actually following through and seeing for yourself if there is any further information, allows you to gain knowledge and not look like an uncaring fool.

Isn't all those crisis look like combined disasters attacks, it's becoming so complex that soon world population will give up and let TPTB install a one world government to restore some sort of world peace.

I know tey always try to distract us wit wars and other crap, but there's still the internet Do they think we're so stupid that we can't read two different topics at once? Do they think we're like moth's mesmerized by a story so much that we can only stick to one? If they think this, ...they are the stupid ones.

And then what?.... Go to a new planet only to mess it up too. I think humanity is proving itself to be nothing more than a plague.

Sad really. They could do this safely if they would spend the money to do it right. Instead the "Faster, Better, Cheaper" or "do more with less". All Mantras from Japan which is failing in its economy and now you can see the results in their Reactors and Tsunami preparedness. Most american compainies now following Japan off the cliff. It is why we have so many unemployed which also means less customers to buy goods which futher drives the economy in the hole but I digress

I live on the Gulf Coast near Pensacola have lived her 35 years. I can say without a doubt that their are huge dead zones along the coast where you used to see many types of sea life are now gone. I cannot say for sure if the BP spill caused this nor why the dead areas on the shore are so random. No more lil crabs minnows, other fishes and even sand fleas live on some parts of the shore. Their is also a "fog" like substance in the shore line water at many of these spots. Some type of particulate. I dont know if it is nartural but I've never seen it till this year.

We have a few choices, do the offshore drilling safer at more cost or switch our country toward other energies in a must larger scale than we do now. Perhaps more electric trains and electric road and cars, that use nuclear or windmill power...

I'm just wondering why they keep calling such travesties "a spill."

...Nobody "spilled" anything - and mommy can't just grab a towel and wipe it up!
