wow! I'm going to book a flight to Japan immediately so i can live a long healthy life.

Yeah, what's next a political pundit telling us that cigarettes are good for us, too?

I also like the member(s) that suggested Coulter should do a documentary from inside a reactor. Maybe have her swimming around the pool in that weird blue glow - Cerenkov's radiation, or whatever they call it that reactors give off under water.

I actually listened to this 5 times because it was so damn ridiculous, she will never live this one down.

Ann gets to be the new tour guide for people wanting radiation vacations in Japan.

considering that they are saying the levels reaching us are low, akin to a dentists xray (wihthout the customary lead apron and by the second mind you, not to mention the particle fall out for years), the real people, ie. the grass roots ones have reported reading well above the 125, 237 San Fransico spike to 287 San Berdino yesterday.

I suppose having Ann come on and spout this nonsense was better than giving people the basic rundown and keeping them in their homes for a day or two. I mean really, the millions they spend each day as consumers cannot be forgone no matter what.

Small minds discuss people, medium minds discuss events and large minds discuss ideas. So which one are you? It seems Ann is discussing the idea of radiation and most of the posters are talking about Ann.?

lmao, pot calling the kettle black.

You are discussing us, with what you just wrote.

Actually we are not discussing Ann, but the ridiculous radiation claims she is making without source, she is just the byproduct of the discussion.

Radiation does kill cancer cells. It also kills healthy cells. Unlike Ms. Shenanigans, it does not discriminate.

Next, we'll hear car exhaust is great for your lungs and arsenic will be the next fad for your diet.

I want her to go to Japan and prove her point!
She will say anything and most of it is entirely ridculous!!
Wanna be..........poor Ann!
( yes, I am talking about her and her point)

Anyone that thinks that radiation is bad for them are liberal ,delusional and union lovers.
Edit: Never mind, it is a conservative media website, but please do read the comments.

Holy hell. This woman has reached a new level of ridiculous.
She should ask the people of Chernobyl how beneficial radiation from a nuclear disaster has been for them. I lived in Eastern Europe when it happened, so we were relatively close to the disaster (certainly closer than Japan is to the U.S.) at the time. Although we were all fine and unaffected by the disaster despite the proximity, those who lived in Chernobyl have produced a generation of cancer-ridden, deformed children,.... which will probably carry into the next generation as well.

Of course there's going to be some type of radiation that is beneficial to the human body, but THIS IS NOT THAT TYPE! I'm sure she knows this, therefore I feel disgust at the fact that she would use this opportunity to promote herself in the dumbest way possible. Where's the face-palm emoticon when you need it?

Ann Coaltar has no idea what he is saying. Yes he does have a major adams apple, but maybe he is just thin?

Suggesting that adding disaster-borne radioactivity above the already incident backround radiation will reduce cancer, is like saying that more bullets, drones and bombs will save the lives of children and innocents in Iraq, Afghanistan and all the other places where we play our war games. He has "probably said that too".

To try to suggest that one isotope applied during precision targeted radiation cancer treatment is somehow beneficially comparable to an increase in overall background radiation leakage over a huge population during a disaster is probably the most ludicrous thing I have heard yet in this whole debacle.

He has said so many necocon BS items he scares me. Like a transvestite bad witch.

The idea I'm discussing is that the US Propaganda Machine, otherwise known as Main Stream Media, in this case FOX News is purporting the idea that radiation is good for you in the wake of one of the largest scale nuclear disasters ever to befall mankind.

I'm supporting this idea by pointing out that Ms. Coulter and Bill O'Reilly have decided to have this discussion while it is being reported elsewhere that the chief of the nuclear plant is literally crying as Japan announces that the radiation leaking from the plant is lethal and that this radiation (perhaps not in lethal concentration) has now reached the west cost of the US.

Most of the studies Coulter cites are from the '90s and early 2000s. Why hasn't she been touting the benefits of radiation for the last 10 years?

It's a coincidence that she decides to run with this story now?

Interesting that you mention Chernobyl, because Coulter does reference it in her column:

Amazingly, even the Soviet-engineered disaster at Chernobyl in 1986 can be directly blamed for the deaths of no more than the 31 people inside the plant who died in the explosion. Although news reports generally claimed a few thousand people died as a result of Chernobyl -- far fewer than the tens of thousands initially predicted -- that hasn't been confirmed by studies.

SOURCE

No mention of a generation of cancer-ridden, deformed children, though.

Let's discuss her logic then.

So all the nuclear waste by-products should now be a good thing for all of us, so why are we putting them in holes miles under uninhabited desert areas?

Probably because it is so good for everyone right?

Nice Adam`s Apple Anne...

What a freakshow this person is. Personally, heshe needs to go hang out in the reactor at Fukushima and tell us how wonderful and safe the radiation is there.

Maybe take a swim in one of the reactor ponds.

Ignorant people like this make me sick. Please just do us all a favor and vanish from planet Earth.

I am curious if she would have been more well received for her statements had she appeared via some sort of Podcast in way to much makeup and spoke of how Pleidans or some other alien group had telepathically given her this information to keep TPTB from having to much of a hold over us.

Or if perhaps she dressed as an aged hippie and spoke of the power of rare earth minerals to heal your body?

I guess just because she is on Fox news and got ripped by O'Reilly means we should totally ignore her trying to bring alternative treatments from obscurity to the "front page".

I have posted a .pdf link in my previous post which backs up what she was reporting from various scientists. Deny Ignorance? Not in this thread!

To address this adam's apple queen who spawned some internets debates:

I am no fan of Oreally, and I really hate to defend him on this matter, But I must say that this Ann Coaltar thing with "healthy radiation" is beyond the pail (pale whatever)... It is pure BS!

There is no "healthy radiation" release. Period. If it is given during an attack on cancer in a patient, it is the lesser of some evils.

But to remotely suggest that any population would benefit from increased radation from an uncontrolled release of radionuclides from an uncontrolled nuclear accident is pure unadulterated BS!!!!!!!

I cannot believe that some members will swallow ann's evil rantings.
