March 18, 2011 new horizons flies past uranus which means that it's almost there but it won't reach pluto untill 2015. New Horizons was zooming past its orbit from 3.8 billion kilometers away from uranus. next stop in Augest 14, 2014 it will cross neptunes orbit. finally July 14, 2015 it will reach pluto.

i'm not sure when it's going to leave the solar system but its job is to study pluto and its moons.

any idea if it has taken any new pictures of uranus and of the its moons? and will it be snapping any of neptune and its moons?

No, no pictures of Uranus. It's actually farther from Uranus than Earth is at the moment. When it crosses Neptune's orbit, it will be only slightly closer to Neptune than Earth will be.

no it won't take pictures of uranus and pluto. it's only going to take photos of pluto and its moons.
