I'm not an expert, however earthquakes on the what was it.. Pacific ring of fire? Yeah.. earthquakes are common.

And Mag 5 is not half as bad as mag 10 (i think it goes to 9)

Yes. Very common. Quake Watch is an ongoing yearly thread that will almost be up to the minute (if one of us is awake) updating significant quakes, and the ring of fire & West coast of US is continually active. Check out the thread It's always in the top three at the top of Fragile earth forum

I noticed, 9 in total for the past 24 hours without looking in the past hour. Have'nt seen that many in a 2 day loop on USGS.

just noticed a LOT in the past day in cali.
