What the guy in the video was trying to show was that the levels peaked, and then he says that they dropped after the clouds passed over, meaning the particles in the clouds were radioactive.

Just had to clear that up, now carry on with your bickering. I'll wait to make up my mind for sure.

I never said anything about FEMA. Maybe you would though.
I only posted this to get your opinion don't get all angered at me. I apologize to the consensus theorists that think I was implying doom. That was never my intention. I just asked YOUR opinion like my OP stated.

my comment about FEMA was a joke,
sorry if my humor doesn't go very far
these days

And I'm not angry at all

The numbers are not alarming?

Excuse my ignorance but can you explain exactly what numbers are enough to guarantee people that they will NOT get cancer 10 years from now with these so-called "small " numbers?

Can you also put our minds to rest and assure all the American people that your 104 nuclear power plants are 100% (you can't humanly do that so let's say 90%) safe and there has never been no leakages and there are no leakages presently going on today from any one or more of them?

Fact is.....you can't and neither can I

Anyways, my post was to get your opinion. Posters need not to attack me as if I was claiming that I was back up the video, I was just asking your opinion. If that can't be comprehended then we should take this forum with a grain of salt.

Hail the CIA!

Obama will be leaving for South America tomorrow or later on Friday and will be gone for 5 days according to his current schedule. Now if I saw live on the evening news from Rio, Obama saying it should be ok back here in the states and that he doesn't expect any significant radiation to reach us, it would be one of his least reassuring speeches. Actually it could make him look like a former minister of information of Iraq who said there were no American forces anywhere close to Baghdad as troops were about to take over.

I did read that it would take a large explosion to send radioactive material high up where the winds blow much faster around the globe. So far, there have not been any super massive explosions that I'm aware of, most of the radiation should be blowing around at lower altitudes where the winds are typically more local. In other words, unless we have a meltdown and a really big explosion, we should not see any harmful levels of radiation here in the US. That's what I read and I believe it. However I do not know what the odds are of preventing a meltdown or if one already started and it's just a matter of time before it blows. Just remember they once did above ground nuclear testing in the Pacific and I didn't hear about any radiation sickness back here in the US. Of course being a skeptic and knowing how well governments explain details, people tend to believe they aren't being told the whole story because usually we are not I believe. If anything happens, Obama can be reassured that he will not have to worry about getting re-elected because it will look like he fled to South America just in time.

Well, 13 is hardly a number to be scared about. There is lots of background radiation on this planet thanks to above ground nuclear testing, other reactors going kaputs as well as the act of mining the materials. We have lots to be concerned of because cancer is on the rise, even before this event.

Don't get me wrong, this event scares the hell out of me because it does pose a grave threat to all of us in the long term. It may dwarf Chernobyl if the reactor cores explode. The ocean will take the brunt of the toxic radiation and we'll need to screen our food supply for signs of radiation. It can go really bad from here and like Chernobyl and the BP Oil spill this crises will not end in the next few days, so yes... be freaked out and concerned that this could be an epic disaster.

People already are. That is the hard fact of cancer on the rise since the early 1980's. I could pull stats but I know we are aware of the rise of cancer. No question after this event is all said and done, many more will have cancer caused directly related to this event.

Each of those reactors are death in a can; and we can all hope no one ever pop's one open. Just keep in mind, Nuclear energy is the safest and cleanest of all the energies.

I have a friend in socal not far from Bakersfield who can confirm that this never actually happened. She's been doing her own reedings independently.

NewportBomb or Dutchsinse is such a blatant fear mongering pathological paranoid it would be amusing if it wasn't downright irritating

This is crap. He says the readings are 233, 232....and the readings are 9 on the map.

Clearly a hoax.

calm down bro,
u got 3 seasoned ATS members telling
ya it ain't so

no need to wake up those gov officials at FEMA
just yet

Boon? Are you a seasoned ATS member ready to be layed down on the grill for some prime cooking?

I've been on here longer, not saying that it brings validity but to claim you're reasoning on concepts is valid is a fallacy. I've appreciated a lot of your earlier posts but your recent thread have displayed a high amount of giant leaps in assumptions. I don't mind if you don't respect my opinion, but from your recent posts on Julian Assange and Ron Paul, it would be more than hypocritical for you to label the video that was posted on my OP has a HOAX.

You told people not to be so gullible but on your past threads you called people eliteists if they didn't partake in your skeptical viewpoints that you posted. Is that not expecting people to be gullible? I think it is. If that logic doesn't register into your till then it is hard to take you and others that follow you seriously.

I could care less if this violates Terms and Conditions because I know my reasoning is sound.

That is for sure above normal background radiation. Background radiation should be no more than 28ur , but the map states different. 234 is still low , like a fireplace burning, if taking a reading right in the fire.

Thank you for your confirmation. All you did was respond to my question. If anyone would have read my OP you would have noticed that I posted this information to get the opinions of the intelligent members of ATS. Apparently that didn't happen because I didn't really believe it but even the responders of this post failed to properly deducte this video as a fallacy. And those didn't notice that I had stated my reasonig for posting or my situation.

It's funny though, this video had more validity than the thread that said a deadly amount of radiation was heading to the states. However, that post had 200 flags but was referenced from a hoax website but this video was an independent person and was labeled a hoax by the alleged "ATS veterans"

I hope I'm wrong for the sake of all Americans.

Yep and you'd believe the USGS too? Many of us have caught out the USGS on at least 2 occations deleting some quakes and shakes.

I believe there is some truth to it because I'm going by point of the first explosion in Japan and not the third however I have not taken in to consideration your own nuclear plants on the West Coast; there's alot more leaks from your own nuclear reactors than your Govt will admit.

Independant or not, your own Govt is conning you and they have access to ALL your sites you use.

The poster of this video just showed that the first nuclear power plant blast from Japan has reach the U.S.
No he doesn't.

During the entire video the readings look completely low and normal. He's showing nothing of the sort.

The only thing he showed is a post by someone about a high level. I could go make a post somewhere the level reached 35000, that doesn't mean it happened.

The whole video seems to be one big debunk of his entire claim. I don't buy the part about the cloud passing.

Even if the sensor really did spike, for all I know it could have been from someone near the sensor smoking a cigarette or something:

radioactivity in cigarettes

i can't say whether its true or false all i can say is the government keeps telling us there is nothing to worry about well when they keep telling us the say old bs i start to worry.and i am more worried about spent fuel ponds bursting into flames the the reactor melt down why because they would put radioactive cessuim into atmosphere where it would easily enter food chain
