No, not yet ..potassium iodide tablets only save the thyroid from diseases and not rest of the body. You take that only if iodine131 is released from nuclear plant accident . This isotope of iodine is one of the products of uranium fission.

I wouldn't worry in the slightest.

The amount of radiation that hits the west coast is likely to be minuscule - another 2000 miles to IL it will be practically none existent.

PANIC!! WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!!!...it's 5,000 miles of ocean between us and japan, that is along way for any type of harmful dose to reach us. this is fearmongering at it's worse, and people need to calm down. let's try and keep this site at some degree of sanity. you are exposed to more radiation in a day when you go snow skiing than the west coast will get from japan.

What alot of people have failed to notice is the strength bands of these models. The two I have seen show that the level of radioactivity that could hit the us is 1000 - 10,000 times LESS than the radiation released at the actual site. BUT it depends on what actual radioactive material is released.

Step one, remain calm.
Step two....www.ki4u.com...
Step three, stop watching CNN, FOX, MSNBC, etc.

Any confirmation on this? I understand that traveling across the Pacific will dilute it some, but what are the facts about what is or is not coming. At this point what may be on the way is speculation from the info that I have gathered, nothing conclusive.

i'm no fan of the msm, believe you me.
yet, when someone claims something without any links, then makes it seem like they know this is a definate thing, it kinda' makes me laugh.
no offense meant.

What level of radiation is acceptable? Getting a few extra x-rays a day acceptable? I think not!!

I once owned an MRI/CT imaging center................I know a little something about exposure!!!

We once lived in a free society where the people controlled the Government................

Our son 19 lives on the beach in Santa Cruz.................A slight risk is a "RISK".............

I have the right to know what the risk are and what I can do about the situation to protect myself and family.......

Mr Curio

After many months of seeing your posts on various threads, I have come to the conclusion that you are possibly a Government Debunker!

Unless of course you are burying your head in the sand and always looking on the bright side, may not be a bad thing to do with all the doom and gloom around?
