Ok, I'm sure I'm just reading into this, but I'm a little freaked right now I'm I'm curious what somebody else thinks of this...

I was just analyzing a dream I had 5 years ago, about the Devil. In the dream, there is a debate as to whether the Devil is real or just a natural "dark" force that is simply part of the world & not evil. As I was writing out an interpretation of this dream, and puzzling out the question for myself, the hugest black fly you ever saw in your life began walking towards my bed. It didn't fly--it walked. Then suddenly it flew onto my window & I had a good look at it. At first I thought it must be a wasp or something because it was so big & fat--but it wasn't, it was a fly. It was a bit bigger than a quarter & the body was huge & black. Isn't the Devil or the demonic sometimes represented s a fly?

In the dream, the Devil gets into a little boy's room though his window.

I think this is a case of writing about a freaky topic and then getting freaked out by something "natural" (though that frickin' fly was HUGE!). But I'm just posting it here because I guess I'm not totally convinced (maybe when my heart stops palpitating).

Like you say, most certainly nothing more but just a large fly. However, under the circumstances I would have been freaked out as well. Probably because I've seen too many horror movies...

... like this one for example:

Cassie the devil is as real as you want him to be, I personally believe in evil people and evil deeds but the entity as a devil not I don't believe in that, yes I have encounters with evil entities or lets say evil looking or portraying ones but as soon as I ask to show their true self the either shift change or disappear.

Be careful Cassie when entities knows you are trouble or scare they will take advantage of the situation.

Yep. Sounds like a common, garden variety horsefly. They're big and scary and they bite, but they're not demons.

Remember that the Devil is a Christian and Muslim concept only. Other religions don't have a "chief evil dude" who is the equivalent of their good deity.

Well you can tell/feel better than any of US what is a sign to you or what isnt.

It very well may have been an anwser to your question, either from Satan or from God, but that is up to you decide

If it was a sign, what would it mean do you think?

Belzebuth (aka Belzebub, Beelzebuth), whose name means "lord of the flies" is prince of demons according to the Scriptures. Milton calls him foremost in power & crime after Satan, and most demonographers call him supreme chief of hell.

Well, here is the final dream interpretation that I just wrote down:
If we fear the Devil, it will exist. If we are not afraid, it cannot hurt us because it will not exist. Of course, there is another theory: The Devil does exist, but if we do not fear it, it cannot hurt or possess us.

Here is some more info on Belzebub

Historical Info
Ba'al-zebub, also called Beelzebub or Beelzebul is known as the 'prince of demons' in the Synoptic Gospels during the accusations of the Pharisees against Jesus.

"The scribes who had come from Jerusalem said, 'He is possessed by Beelzebul,' and 'By the prince of demons he drives out demons.' - Mk 3:22

"This man drives out demons only by the power of Beelzebul, the prince of demons." - Mt 12:24

"Some of them said 'By the power of Beelzebul, the prince of demons, he drives out demons." - Lk 11:15

Ba'alzebub's name derives from the Canaanite "Baal" meaning "lord," and he is known as the "lord of the flies"

Belzebub seems to be a separate entity from that of Satan. Another fallen angel that seems to hold high power in his own right in hell.

The Devil is real. His biggest accomplishment is getting people to think he isn't real. The fly? Could have been a horsefly OR it could have been a sign, allowed by God, to remind you that playing with the dark side can be dangerous. Even curiosity into the dark can be .... be careful.

Wow this reminds me of a dream I had a long time ago. It was one of those dreams where you think you just woke up. So anyways I just woke up in my dream, got out of bed, walked down the hall, and saw my sister sitting on my parents bed, and without me saying anything she said "the devil is here"
and that scared the crap out of me when I woke up. Strange too because that was a little bit before the time she became a Satanist but at least now she is an atheist. I could never forget that dream.

Why dont you just smash the damn thing so it never comes back. If it does (highly doubtful) then you may be entitled to believe whatever. I would just think that you have a fly problem.

What did the devil look like in your dream? Maybe like my Avatar? Or human?
