I kind of wish I was still down in Florida right now just to watch how this pans out. Wouldn't it be great if this just snowballed across the nation? Anyone have mayors like this in their town? Yep, People DO have the Power.

There is so much wrong with this picture ,like the paying of drivers to campaign instead of working. I dont think you could pay me enough to support a rat I was against to begin with. I think folks should watch this. If anything, it is historical...

Correction. It was not the city mayor. It was the mayor for Miami-Dade county.

Carlos Alvarez was voted out of office by the people of Miami-Dade county in a special election.
Much to my surprise the guy was voted out of office by disgruntled people in the county.
Miami is pretty much tired of the corruption and cronyism.

The recall election was sponsored by a Norman Brahman who's a billionaire car dealer. Seems That voters voted their displeasure and voter turn out was strong.
Also in the recall election Natacha Seijas was ousted from office.

It seems that raising property taxes by 12 percent in a recession will get you booted out of office.

Thank you for the correction. I have edited title. Geee just a mere 12%? How could people be so angry???
I hope more people pay attention to this and see they can do it themselves as well anywhere it is needed, which is probably quite a few places.

Wait just a minute there! All I've heard, lately, is how the average tapayers are supporting the unions, against government officials trying to control spending and balancing budgets?

I am glad to see these jerks fired! Too bad they did not put them in jail and make them return their salaries.
