I'm going down the Soviet line - Atm i have SU-5 SPG, KV-3 and a T34-85. It takes ages to get experience though...

Man I am digging this game. It's like the game I always wanted the customization of a racing game and the blowing stuff up part of a war game.

The little features really make it special. Crushing cars, fences trees. The perfect hull down sniping spots. I've got a T18 at the moment fully suped up with the howitzer making for some hilarious long range kills. I've also got a T2 MT and a T-26 which I mistook for a T-28. Oh well.

Love it when you think your done for and an Arty buddy smokes the guy for you I try and return the favor when possible.

Can't believe I didn't find this sooner; you may even see me playing on the American server, as I do... alot.

Update, just unlocked my Ferdinand and IS-3

I'm not playing as much as I was but I'm having fun with the Stug running circles around KVs. Speaking of KVs, you know that deal where you get a free tank slot when they split the KV into the KV-1 and KV-2? When does that happen? I'm guessing when 7.0 is released, which probably wont be for a long time yet.

I finally got the SU-8 fully upgraded but it kills me how long it takes to zero in. Any slight movement takes you right back to square one too. It was a big shock coming from the super accurate SU-5.

The Russian tree split is soft-deadlined for early 2012 from what I've heard and will net a free tank and slot for K both the KV and IS4.

And yeah th SU8 took some serious getting used to after the hyper-accurate 5, get a Gun Laying Drive and a 100% gunner and it becomes a little more bearable. But strap in, because it only gets longer from here; easy to accept the 36second reload time on my SU14 though when I fire my 203mm god hammer.

Every spg seems to have it's quirks, my grille tends to shoot short and my m37 always shoots wide, im skipping the m7 because of this. I loved the SU8 though, once I got used to it, it became the favorite in my garage as it rarely seemed to miss its mark.

Oh lord where do I start.

Camo/Spotting overview
Light Tanks have the same camo values while moving or stationary.
Tank Destroyers have the highest base camo values, but like Heavies, Mediums and SPGs, have separate moving/stationary values.
Bushes will hide your vehicle when it is large enough to do so.
Your listed View Range statistic is calculated as a radius of a circle around your tank, the higher this number, the sooner you will spot vehicles and the better you will uncover camouflaged vehicles.
Draw distance is a square drawn around your vehicle of 500mX500m, you can shoot and be shot by vehicles outside of your own view range if being spotted by a teammate within Radio Range.

Weakspots/Penetrations
Every tank has weakspots. Look for shots at Lower front plates, commanders cupolas, driver view ports, machine gun holes(on the hull itself), and then the obvious sides generally weaker than front, rear generally weaker than sides. (There are some exceptions to this)
Penetration and damage are average numbers, with a +-25% range.

General Tips
Heavy/Medium are weight designations and do not pertain to the role of a tank.
If it sounds like a bad idea, it's probably a bad idea (Heavies to valley on Lakeville) I'm not sure which server you're on but NA is filled with people who seem to think that because a bad tactic worked once, it's not a bad tactic, so beware the armchair generals at the beginning of every match.
Win Rate is not luck, every match is winnable, and every tank can always contribute to a match.
Certain tanks get "scout matchmaking" they will be placed in matches outside of their normal +-2 Tier spread, typically Tier 4+ Light tanks.

thank you for the tips and tricks but the game will not load up do not know if it is a fire fox issue or a system req issue , still have the bug er need to play in hell might get the other computre up and see if it works till the n button up hull down and kil kil kil them tanks , smoke one for me

thanks for the invite but sadly my computer is a POS and is a boat anchor can not be upgraded to game speck sound and mem cards well i do have an other one it just needs a few tweaks might spend some time doing it and less time on ATS. hull down, button up, and aim small, smoke'm for me.

Are you still playing World of Tanks? I downloaded it on my XBox 360 about a month ago and I've been playing every day since, very addicting. I've been exploring the French and Soviet lines. Especially the TD's. Great game!
