In California there testing part of that out.
They drill holes in the pavement every few feet and drop in a cylinder flashlight size magnet and they also put magnets under the middle of the car,
they also have a cuputer filling up the trunk that would detect other vehicles in front of you (using a rafar or laser) and slow down or speed up your
car, the magnet are there simply so you don't have to steer they and the computer do everything for you, but the car itself is not being propelled by
the magnets, it still uses good ol' unleaded.
