maybe before, if they were contacting/visting earth they felt safer.. and more appreciated. the knowledge they gave the mayans, egyptians, etc was worshiped and used. they didn't have nuclear weapons and space weaponry to injure them back then. i've seen tons of pictures of caves and egyptian drawings of worshiping UFOs and lights in the sky. look what we do now, we exploit the term for movies and money. i don't know, that thought just came to me now.

perhaps they think if they make themselves known now we will attack and be hostile towards them?

i don't know, that doesn't really go with the whole theory of them putting us here. if they put us here.. you'd think they'd be around.

OR. maybe they just think they're cooler than us!
or just very shy. lol.

Ok, so lets say we were "altered" by aliens, then my question is, how were animals created? I don't think you will win with the chicken and the egg question.

Yea, you should read some books by Zacharia Sitchin, and Erich von Daniken.

They can kinda give you a base from which to postulate credible reasons for your experimentation theory.

You should also read the Hindu, Bhagavata- Purana, Mahabharata and Ramayana Scriptures. They speak pretty plainly of visitors from the sky and the ships they rode in on.

The Nephilim, took their DNA and spliced it with homo-erectus to create homo-sapiens. Thats us.

Organisims on Earth have a pretty rich fossil record....

They are watching how we evolve, how we act, what we build.

Now the question is why, why would they need or want to make us or to bring us here?

I believe animals are native to the planet, this planet had many species of animals when we arrived.
There's evidence that we also did some evolving, but i believe we were genetically altered with DNA from some of the animals that were already here along with some of our creators ("in their image") and had a head start.

If we evolved here from the very beginning, how is it that we have no knowledge of who built all the impossible stone monuments on the this ("our own") planet and why does every religion refer to beings from the sky?

if we were created in the image of the creator, then who we are as a species tell a lot about who created us..
we are violent, territorial, explorers and builders.. so were they.

I meant: they started life, they placed the firsts lifeforms here on earth.

A pretty interesting theory, it may be possible that instead of planting life here, they just made humans it is also more credible than my theory because life started billions of years ago

Also, why did it had to take 3000 years when you had so much of population to discover/make things except it had to start only since the last 400 years, why do you think there were limitations for thousands of years and a sudden throttled improvement in science which was never imagined it was possible.

Yeah ive always thought along those lines with all the things showing signs of ancient aliens and maybe they just give us a little boost in the right direction, like with the threads on here about alien tech and seeing how we use it

But ive always found it interesting about USO's, like they are seen coming flying out of the water and this can go back hundreds of years when christopher columbus saw something go flying out of the sea into the night sky as posted in his diary.

Kinda makes you think, if we "cant" find any life out there, what says that intelligent life doesnt exist within the depths of our ocean. Would be the ideal place to remain hidden while able to observe events on earth if they did want to monitor us?

If they had the technology to genetically modify an existing species, or just straight out create one from scratch, I don't think they would really care about material objects

If a race has technology to alter DNA, whos to say they haven't altered their own to eradicate all their known diseases, physical immortality, etc, why would they effectively mess around with an 'ape like' creature to see what happens?

Any existence of living being..lets take it apes were starting to get superior against other creatures and somehow evolved or whatever caused them to change happened to be us and i wouldn't want any alien to come and boost our living by showing off unimagined technology because eventually maybe in less than a hundred or later years we would eventually discover ourselves and not throw off our purpose of doing all that we're yet to do and doing, like discoveries, inventions, archeology, philosophy and so on..lets keep them from altering to something other than ourselves.

Why not? I mean, why do scientists want to create life? They want to play to be god, they have almost all possible technology, so they decided to see what happens, its like playing "SimCity".

Had to make an account just to add my thoughts to this topic! I just like the way it's going.
I sometimes think aliens have a very efficient way to extract useful metals and materials from planets. Their protocol might be to keep surveillance on planets that already have life in them. Grab the most intellectually advanced organism and alter it's DNA for their benefit. I think we weren't meant to evolve into violent, egotistical creatures, thats just what they wanted us to be. Because of this ego they created genetically, they made us round up many rescources like Gold, Silver, Diamonds, Plutonium... and our greed made us keep these in only few places, instead of despersing it evenly. Then they just monitor us. Intervene when necessary so the plan doesn't fail. And when all the rescources are rounded up, or our ego is about to nuke the # out of everything, they come in, take what's theirs and probably leave. In the mean time they are reaserching life across the galaxy in their quest for higher understanding.

sounds crazy?? well it just might be crazy. i have no information to back any of this up, this us just speculation

I started thinking about this 35+ years ago. Came up with all kinds of theories....Eventual "harvest" a la the "Rapture" leaving a small group behind to repeat the cycle all over again; An experiment in cultural modification and "uplift" via carefully chosen "inputs" a la Budda, Jesus etc.; They are lonely and want company; Creation of a "warrior class or slaves" to fight and work for them; Creation of a physical form they can "download their conciousness into and do..??; Waiting for us to create an infrastructure they can use....and on and on... Who knows? But I think theyv'e more than likely been here a long time.
