a lot of people Learn over time.
and become very good contributors.
we NEED people who can grow.

and Mensa is a joke.
They make tests bast on test They are good at.
then practice a great deal.
and they get You to believe people
good at there teast are the Best!

But yes some people do need to be band for a time.
Some times insane people come up with Great ideas.

And if only the smart people can get on ATS.
the rest will never find out what is realy going on.

Most of the brain-trust of ATS started leaving when it became a rather vicious political forum followed by the horrible Covid threads...

There were some very smart people here and they are sorely missed.

That said, those that remain are more resilient and have a better understanding of cycles.

The world is changing and it has been painful.

The best attitude now is that Joy is just around the corner.

Long live ATS, and thank you for keeping it alive.

It is not about IQ for most. Life is exploration. Most people define there opinions on what others think around them. PLenty of very intelligent people took the vac for example. We all need to learn to step out this box and think for ourselves. It takes time give peeps a break.

Sorta related to your thought there.

I was once on a occult site that used meritocracy and quality of posts (as determined by mod and member vote/popularity) to color code users names. There were levels. White, Yellow, and Blue. Blues were essentially your "High IQ" folks.

Ultimately, it promoted an oxytocin rush for having that special colored recognition, and that caused factions and in-crowds to form. Someone prominent got pissed and called out the nepotism, Everyone's favorite moderator got disgusted and quit over everyone squabbling, and one by one the best posters left until the colors were removed and only Mikey Aquino was left to prattle on about his "mind war trilogy" whatnot.

And they were suposedly all individualists above the mundane squabbles of society. In the end, it was learned a culture of selective or elitist meritocracy and intellectual recognition based on consensus vote beget a culture of inclusion. The stratification went strait to the ego and self esteem causing grandstanding and plastic behavior.

Everyone wanted to be in the "kool kids club", where everyone likes each other, and all sat in a circle j*** of mutual inclusion. Especially if they were mutually excluded. Then they tried especially hard to get in.

so you want to force people to IQ test , based on their perceived intelligence ?
where you believe that someone with lower intelligence should be forced to complete a mandatory test in order to be able to share their thoughts in a forum just because it irritates you?

I mean it sounds like you have a intellectual superiority complex and also that you wish to actively discriminate against people who aren't as smart as you think you are.

For someone of your obviously high levels of intelligence im sure you know the definition of the word "humble"
not everyone is as smart as you are , "ye can only pish wae the cock yuv got"
is a lesson we should all learn.

So while we are at it if we have your discriminatory IQ test , but lets also have a humility test as well
