last week 7.0+ earthquake in CHRISTCHURCH new zealand.
week before 1/3 of australia underwater
few weeks before that major BP oil spill destroys the entire Gulf of mexico...

Oh-and not to mention the entire middle east is on fire with a possible caliphate in the making

Ok here's a thought, I am agnostic so of course my thoughts will probably mean nothing, but what if christ is in you, and you all allow yourselves to perish awaiting someone who was not supposed to be seen as a man, but as a part of you? If this turns out to be fact, you are actually allowing christ to be crucified over and over again.. think about that.

In order for any... and I mean any christian to be taken seriously they IMHO have to see things as a metaphor and as the word, and then chose accordingly. I would hate to think that because I was not taught to read, write, or understand correctly that it would hold my fate.

I choose my fate, as far as wanting to survive or not, but I do not chose the words, sentences, letters in combination that may form words, accusations or assumptions, as my "word". In the long run you have to decide whether you were inconsistent with learning and properly understanding the words of "any" god.. or you chose for others that were flawed, and misrepresented what you thought you stood for.

Stand up and make a choice, instead of asking others that have made their choice to second think theirs.

Basically you're right, but the OP gave us some inspiration.

E.g. I sneezed three times yesterday, and if satanic science is to be trusted, there are whole galaxies colliding with each other. So all we need is to find a relevant perspective, a suitable methodology, qualified interpretators of 'life, the universe and everything', theological experts (if any 'god' turns out to be a part of what happens) and possibly divine sanction for the whole procedure.

From a sceptic's point-of-view (which I ofcourse don't promote, as that would be religious bashing) it could on the background of the presently massed end-of-days threads be speculated, that either are christians following a centralised agenda with the purpose of scaring the living lights out of everybody

or

that christians have some kind of specialised collective subconsciousness only functioning between christians, where fads come and go in waves.
