I live in Australia and the forest near me becomes somewhat.....evil at night.

My three man team investigate Yowies or better known as Bigfoots, but this is only one of many things which have been reported here.

:Black panther cats
:UFO's
:GIANT pigs
:6 foot kangaroos (wild ones aren't nice you know, they can disembowel someone with 1 kick)
:Local farmers having been on their own too long

This photo taken by a local farmer is something I don't want to be food for

[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/4416449ffe7e.jpg[/atsimg]

I have knives and bows and lots of other nasty's, but I only take my knife and cattle whip because what good is anything against the heavy weights of this forest.

That's when I found a torch similar to this, but more powerful and ordered one.

Shine this at anythings eyes and its instant blindness. Either turn away or have boiled eye balls.

Its fantastic!

Battery life is a little short but its not the torch I use for walking at night. It's a weapon in case of an emergency.

LMAO!!!

I'd rather meet any of the former than the latter, hehe.

But damn! That's a scary torch! Would hate for the wrong people to get their hands on one of those! Would definitely want to have one if I came up on one of those farmers though.

So it's a high intensity green laser in there?

And?

They're illegal to purchase now in Aus.

??

No way a mere torch does that.

I believe that it is classed as a weapon in Australia too.

I didnt get that exact one in the clip, that was just for demonstration purposes.

I ordered something more powerful!

If you live in AUS, you'll most likely end up with a letter from Customs.

You cannot bring weapons into Australia, and high powered Lasers are now classified as weapons.

You lost your money

Hope it wasn't expensive..

So you go into a forest at night, the place where the animals LIVE and you feel that it's ok to burn their retinas out with a laser for being in their natural habitat and doing what they always do.

Nice.

Oh Shifty !!!

Least he's not forcing them to move side to side in what appears to be extreme agony!!

As I said if he lives in Aus, he'll be very very very lucky to get it...

Hey , my kitty is not in any pain, he's just suspicious.
Actually his eyes are following a laser pointer, thats the irony there

My torch is 4100 lumens.

I already have this in my possession now and ordered it from the local markets.

I tried what it said and fried an egg and a marshmallow on a stick!

I don't just go around shinning this at anything that moves, but I will if I'm up a tree with a giant boar circling me!

That's a pretty serious looking torch, to be sure.
Although if a pig the size of the one pictured was charging me, I'd still rather have a rifle.
Pigs are well known for their sense of smell, and probably wouldn't need their eyes to really mess you up.

i was thinking of getting one after i got the 1w arctic (which isnt 1w more like 700w) but on laserpointerfoums i read a lot of bad stuff about it and most ppl said to get a hid. the hid is only £150 and is 4000 lumens so a bit less then yours but wicked are knowen for having less power then they say their products do have. but it does look good. take care with it.....

Yeah I kid you not, I have a 300 lumen and a 500 lumen and the 300 is better!.

I don't know if its the different brand or torch or what but I picked both of these up cheap as.

Around $25 inc P&H from Hong Kong.

These types of torches are awesome when thinking back to those old dolphin torches that you normally see in someones camping supplies.

Well typing away here on ATS I forgot all about my cheese on toast snack.

So I just used my torch to melt the cheese again because I was too lazy to walk to the other side of the house.

WIN!

300-500 lumens sounds pretty impressive but, it seems flashlight makers are always pushing the limits.

It seems that 1000 lumen flashlights can be found in abundance for a pretty fair price.

One company even claims to have a 5000 lumen monster:

Polarion claims World's most powerful Flashlight with 5,000lm

Polarion claims World's most powerful Flashlight with 5,000lm
Feb 7 2008, 7:47am CST | by Luigi Lugmayr

It was only a matter of time until Polarion-USA would hit back and claim the title of World's brightest Flashlight again. About a week ago Wicked Lasers introduced "The Torch" Flashlight featuring 4,100lm brightness.
The Polarion Helios PH40 and PF40 have 4,000lm. Ken Good, founder of Polarion-USA, told us today that the PH40 and PF40 searchlights actually have close to 4,200lm, they just never cared to specify the exact brightness and just stated 4,000+ lumens.

To paint a clear picture, Polarion-USA ups the ante with the release of the new PH50 and PF50 Flashlights that deliver an astonishing 5,000 lumens raising the bar for the most powerful Flashlight by almost 1,000 lumens.
Polarion-USA once again has the World's most powerful flashlight.

I4U News

That's one bad-ass looking flashlight and that article is 3 years old. I wonder if they've made it to 10,000 lumens yet?

The Polarion website only claims 4200 Lumens though. They want $2,195.00 for that sucker!

For just $99.00 the Wicked Lasers Torch seems a much better value.
