Keep in mind that the nuclear reactor that we have been told repeatedly is fine....
Has technicians working on it during 5-6 mag aftershocks. The reactor piping was probably damaged during the main quake, as it was built to withstand a 7.5 mag EQ. Who knows what terrible conditions they are facing while trying to get coolant flowing again, if that is even feasible. After too much heat and pressure builds up, the introduction of water back into the system would cause an explosion.edit on 11-3-2011 by butcherguy because: (no reason given)

You will find disasters all over the world for many different things on that website. Don't be concerned, very few have to do with the immediate effects of the earthquake/tsunami. You can click each warning, and get details about it.
It will let you know what the problem was, where, when. There's epidemics, plane crashes, earth quakes, etc... So don't be concerned by everything you see there. That is basically every 'disaster' reported across the world EVERY day.

Luckily the buildings in Japan managed to do what they were meant to do. The death toll could have been way higher as it is so dense.
Good investment on ground breaking technology.
