Anyone else in the West Coast? Im in L.A. and I just have such an uneasy feeling. I'm anxious, and my body feels weak. I just feel like something is wrong, and that I should be ready for something.

I'll get my information directly from Al Jazeera, and not waste my time searching through a local website... Thanks!!!

Again Al Jazeera reported exactly on what you are talking about. And I've said this as well. They are having difficulties with a backup generator that is inoperable that was supposed to be cooling #1 and #2 reactors, but they said it poses no risk of radiation contamination. Just a difficulty at this time.

The amount of quakes that have occurred in Japan is scary. 25 after shocks so far! probably many more to come. Hope fully there will be none as great as the 8.9
And as others have said there possibly is arelationship with the Hawaii quakes

Everyone here should keep an eye out on USGS to see if there are any other quakes and update or compile information

Notice that I put "emergency situation" in quotes. I was quoting the director of the reactor facility.

Don't be a snob about a news source, especially in this situation when the news source is called "NHK World."

I was considering moving there early last year but circumstances came up that didn't allow me to move, I'm sure if I had I would be having the same feelings.

Best wishes to all of you in that area as well as everyone else in the warning/watch areas.

No need to worry, they are putting up an alert in order to warn coastal cities that there will be waves reaching the west cost, it is nothing serious but may have some effect to people right along the coast and therefore a warning is issued. nothing like what you have seen in japan will happen here

I think the CNN female Japanese translator is fighting off the urge to cry right now, I can't take this anymore, I have to lay down.

Yup... I'm just a bit west of Portland, although I don't think anything will get me way out here.

Be safe bro!
