I used a wacom drawing tablet - not an ipad or android tablet...

MB,
I did this in photoshop cs5 extended. I used my wacom intuos4 small tablet to draw then paint it. I used a photo as reference. Same way for all three photos. It is 100% painted. I also paint with canvas and acrylics, but as i'm kind of in between state all my brushes and paints are packed right now.
I worked as a graphic artist for a few years. I got that job with my portfolio, as I am self taught on computer design. I have a music education degree but I took a lot of art classes since I was little. I volunteered and built up a portfolio doing work for non profit agencies. I went in as a temp for a big project and I was the only temp they kept and put on permanent. I'm a better musician than artists... the tiger is probably the best painting I've ever done in my mind.
Thanks everyone for the complements and encouragement
