CNNs Wolf Blitzer was on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart last week. When asked if going to war based on faulty intelligence was a huge scandal, Blitzer just laughed and said, Havent you ever made a mistake?

A Mistake? That seems to be everybodys latest excuse for attacking a third-world country that had no WMDsOops! It looks like we were wrong, but were not responsible because everybody thought Iraq had WMDs. The only problem with that excuse is that it isnt true. While the Bush Administration was exaggerating WMD claims, people in the know were saying something quite different.

Does this sound like CNN liberal bias to you?

It sure doesn't sound that way to me, but I am sure the bush bootlickers will applaud this sorry excuse for a journalist. Unfortunately blitzer is the rule rather than the exception when it comes to the PC network journalism of today.

I haven't seen the episode in question (In fact, I pretty much stopped watching the Daily Show since it got so political. The fake news is much funnier, I can get depressing stuff everywhere else), but it sounds like that was an attempt at a joke.

hehe, in my family we call Wolf Blitzer "the U-Boat commander"... doesn't he look the part?

He seems most comfortable when talking about war and strategy

I saw that episode too. John Stewart tore him apart, it was hilarious. The audience was laughing their asses off at Blitzer's idiotic responses, and Stewart didn't even stop them like usual.

Stewart: (Something about the intelligence failures in Iraq)

Blitzer: So you never make mistakes?

*Audience jeers*

I had heard that Blitzer was a giant media whore, but I never knew how much of one.

Just a review of the facts so they don't get lost in the spin.

Fact: Iraq had wmd's that were confirmed and catalogued by the UN

Fact: Saddam was ordered to destroy said WMD's

Fact: Saddam could have easily shown the world that he destroyed the WMD's

Fact: He did not provide any proof of their destruction

So with these undisputed facts in had the question needs to be what did he do with the WMD's that he had not were there any WMD's.

Yeah the Daily Show was much better when it was hosted by Kraig Kilborn. Plus the five questions with the guest was awesome I miss that on the Daily show.
