I came across this website conspiracyscience.com... that goes through some of his films and debunks them point by point.

The researcher has this to say:

One important issue I've found when researching Alex Jones is that he sees what he believes and not the other way around. Meaning he wants to see something so he sees it, instead of what's actually happening.

Interesting if you want to have an opposing view of Alex Jones' methods and beliefs.

That can be said about almost anything.

Just coming off the Facebook suicide button thread, I've been told by mental health workers during various courses that people with depression see themselves as having something wrong with them to push people away when actually, their friends and family members don't hate them as they think they do.

It's also like the conspiracy theories that have been prevalent for decades or religion, if you believe something you'll take anything as a sign that you're right even if it's utterly wrong.

OT BodhiSeeker, I'm curious as to where you got your name. Every time I see it I'm reminded of a fave wrestler of mine who goes by the name Sinn Bodhi, makes me smile every time

Alex Jones may not be perfect but his actions and words have changed many people's lives 'for the better.'
He is the kick in the rear that many people need to begin their journeys down the rabbit hole and out of their mental slavery. In my experienced opinion of the man after many years of listening to what he has to say, I believe he's done far more good than harm to this backwards planet.

Yeah, it's a good site that, I've posted the link to that site on a few threads in the past couple of months. Have you checked out the zeitgeist debunking?

Bodhi = Enlightenment. So I'm a Enlightenment Seeker pretty much.

Alex Jones seems to fly off the handle too much, he isn't a calm and collected person. You can find videos of him on YouTube dressed up like Darth Vader and The Joker going off on rants. How is anyone to take him seriously when he does that? It's not very professional.

He seems to have a persecution complex along with a machoism attitude. When callers call in and bring up a topic he runs with it and goes off on a tangent without even checking the sources to see if it's true. That's bad journalism.

IMO

Alex Jones, Glenn Beck, David Icke, they are all in the same category. They don't fact check anything and they all spin ridiculous ideas for sensationalism.

The MSM lies, the alternative media lies, the only way to get legitimate info nowadays is to become an independent journalist yourself, or watch the few unbiased documentaries that come out every now and then.

Did they happen to debunk the fact that he has awoken thousands if not millions to the plans of the NWO?!?!?!?

Alex's abrasive personality sure does get some people twisted

I wouldn't consider drawing people into his ultra-paranoid fantasy of fear "awakening" them.
I'm sure many people were living happier lives before he convinced them that "the NWO wants to kill you".

But, people will believe what they want to believe.

The thing is, he hasn't though. He just spews utter rubbish and people unfortunately believe him. The majority think they're so enlightened, but they swallow every last word without doing any research; which by the same definition makes them 'sheeple'

I don't get it. I checked out the "Obama Deception, Debunked" page and don't see where the authors comments debunk anything.

It shows some context of the statements, and if you take the statements at face value you can say they are benign.

The problem with that is you have to look at the actions of the administration since those statements were made and the actions seem to support Alex's position not the author's.

IE:

[Obama] We've gotta have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong. This is from the same speech in Colorado Springs and is referring to the Peace Corps; basically the idea of diplomacy being an important part of national security.

How is the author sure he is referring to the peace corps as a national security force? His actions has not been an effort to grow the peace corps or other community volunteer organizations, but he has increased the budget and polices of the TSA.

Look at the fruit, not the rhetoric.

President's budget continues lower trendline for Peace Corps funding Updated: Thursday, February 18th, 2010 | By Louis Jacobson During the 2008 presidential campaign, Barack Obama promised to double the size of the Peace Corps to 16,000 by its 50th anniversary in 2011. But while the president's proposed fiscal year 2011 budget would increase the amount of money devoted to the Peace Corps, the amount envisioned is too low to reach Obama's original goal by 2011.

politifact.com...

Here is his DHS increase request.

Obama asks for $43.8 billion for DHS -- 2 percent increase over 2011 Published 16 February 2011

homelandsecuritynewswire.com...

It looks to me he meant to say DHS/TSA not the peace corps based on his actions.

your seeeing it as pullling people into a fear fantasy state, but does not the MSM do the same. At least alex is making people aware of a part of info/media thats not in the MSM so those people can look into that info and make there own conculsions .

if they get sucked into the fear fantasy state i think any type of media be it MSM or alt media like alex would suck that type of person into the extreme of the fear fantasy state of any one they were looking at.

No argument here. The weak minded can be convinced of just about anything, up to and including poisoning themselves to find "enlightenment".

The difference is no-one is claiming that the MSM is "awakening" anybody.

What if the police state never comes?

Maybe it was all a ruse to distract you from something else. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that there are smart people in the world that get together for plans in business and social engineering. That isn't even hidden from the mainstream. You learn these things at University.

The fact that people didn't find this information out for themselves, and instead had to be told from AJ, Icke and other sensationalists just mean the very people that were 'awakened' are believing in further BS.

No critical thinking, no investigation, just: tell me what's going on so I know.

If there is an agenda in the future AJ and the rest would be the first people to get contracts for propaganda. Because they hold the demographic that doesn't trust the MSM.

AJ could tell his listeners that we they have to sell off their houses to protect themselves from banks and they would listen. Because they aren't critical thinkers, they are followers.
