Neopan100

Yeah, your right ........ there has been a BIG drop off in the price of crude oil............

I'm waiting to see how fast our petrol / gas stations react in a 'downward' direction......

(waiting very patiently)

In New Delhi, India where they keep hiking the price (but it's still a bit cheaper than other parts of the country) we are now paying Rupees 58.75 per liter for petrol - that's 5$/gallon...

here in stockton, california...which is about 75 miles east of san francisco in the central valley, it is 4.15 reg. 4.35 prem.
the oil companies have the biggest impact on our economy, because everything at one time or another, ends up being shipped by a truck, and diesel is way up over the price of premium. the more fuel goes up, the more people have to pay for every product they buy.

Here in Louisville,KY it was $3.86 a gallon yesterday, then jumped up to $4.15 per gallon over night.
It's because of fears of the flooding on the Mississippi.

I do find it hard to believe that Americans are complaining about the price of petrol when we in the UK are paying double the US price.

I work at a gas station in Pensacola Florida. This morning our price for regular unleaded is 3.74, a 2 cent drop from yesterday, which was a 1 cent drop from the day before. Obviously, the price is trending downward which is a surprise to me, for two reasons.

First, we just switched over to "summer gas", which is a little bit more expensive. Summer gas has an additive that helps fumes to disperse quickly, which happens naturally in cool weather,

And, one of our fuel carriers recently told me that gas prices would not go below 3.75 for the foreseeable future, Yet, there it is. He also told me that the price will be $4 by the fourth of July. I hope he's wrong about that, too.
