Human didn't neccessarily come from monkeys. We may have come from a common ancestor, Maybe one that spit away from monkeys at the first fork in the road from proto-simians. Maybe we were on a different trajectory all the way back to vertibrates.

Darwin lived before the modern hypothesis of abiogenesis. At that time the science did not exist to explain how life could come from non-life and the theory of evolution makes no claims as to how life first emerged. The problem with creationism is that it claims that life was created as it exists presently, so it not only does it make claims as to how life began in the first place it contradicts everything we know about evolution.

What it boils down to is Faith. To believe evolution is correct, you have to have faith based on research done. Evolution can't and will never be proven in a lab. Neither will God. But I choose to believe in God, because I have faith in him. And I have faith that his word(Bible) is true.

Grammer is not the subject in this thread, oh yeah and I still think Darwin IS an idiot. Im not even going to bother with any more replies in this thread im getting bored now. You all believe whatever idea some deluded scientist came up with - oh no, it wasnt even his theory - IT WAS HIS GRANDFATHERS THEORY. So enough said.

I'm tired of people starting threads that turn controversial and then abandon it when asked to justify their opinion. Don't start a thread like this if you can't take the volume or tenacity of the replies that come through. It shows a lack of respect to the topic and people who want to discuss it.

I think one of the best pieces of evidence we have for the factual existence of evolution and its processes is in disease/viruses. Part of the reason we can't develop a proper flu/cold medication is because they evolve faster than we can combat the changes.

Actually, as similar as they look, to say they haven't changed is silly. An ancient crocodile from 250mil years ago for example, could not create offspring with today's crocs.

And your comment regarding their intelligence is silly too. Who's to say intelligence according to our measure is the "end game"? For where they live, and what they eat, crocodiles are a lot better adapted than we are. Generally, they are perfectly adapted to their surroundings. They only have to eat ever so often, are very tough, have few predators if any, and can survive in all sorts of surroundings.

Crocodiles have evolved. However, they have remained relatively unchanged due to their environment remaining fairly constant. Therefore, new traits will not give one member of the species much of an advantage over other members of the species.

There are Currently 23 +/- different species of crocodiles, alligators, etc.

To say they haven't changed over the millennia is quite telling with regards one's overall knowledge and understanding.

Much like sharks, cockroaches and other seemingly 'perfect' creations, the reason they haven't changed That Much over time is their near idealistic adaptation to survival in Their realm.

Near 'perfect' machines, if you will ... requiring rather minimal if any urgent physical adaptation over time.
