Don't be too impressed with old Hoagies Dark Mission! There's a site called Dork Mission which points out all the mistakes that Hoagland made in his book... And there are many!
I love Richard Hoagland but if I hear him talk about how he has the "smoking gun" just one more time I'm likely to run amok with a meat cleaver and kill hundreds in a fit of dpression!

Where are these research papers, that the article claims to have been published? Is this report available to the public?

Afte a quick look through google their seems to be no real credible news scources reporting on this. I will remain sceptical of this information disclosure until I see a conformation. It isn't often that TPTB disclose such vital information.

What are the possibilities of creating a lunar city. How could we sustain life on the moon? I am more concerned with the origins of this(if it is true) then what could be done with it.

"Disclosure" is only needed for those that don't believe in the first place.

I imagine after the face on Mars deal they're tired of everyone accusing them of covering up. "NASA discovers fissure on moon" becomes "Moon is splitting in half by aliens". Could be they're using India to release information too.

Because the News fragment posted is a little misleading...
I think all our imaginations are spinning in high gear and we are visualizing this
mile long + 393 ft wide as being analogus to a Subway here on Earth, or perhaps a finished
engineered 'Chunnel' (the huge train & vehicle tunnel below the Channel between Europe & the UK)

at this point in time, i'm leaning toward the most likely, irregular and serpintine cavity
being a relic from an earlier Lunar condition, with volcanos or something similar

Or else the cavity is only an odd and very less dense deposit of material encapsulated in the Lunar rock...
resulting in false readings that the area is 'hollowed out'

In May 1972 a large meteor struck the moon, with the equivalent force of 200 tons of TNT. Scientists were 'baffled' to find that, while the shockwaves travelled deep into the interior of the moon, none were sent back.

I beleive this confirms that there is somthing unusual about the core of the Moon.

That's why NASA called their sounding experiments Chapel Bell, where the Apollo missions would detonate charges or crash their expended rocket stages into the Moon's surface. After Apollo 12 they kept the results secret. NASA still does these tests - the LCROSS mission was the last - and has plans for future missions which will study the Moon's interior in greater detail.
They didn't release the LCROSS results either.

did a bit of looking aroundand found a picture, nothing detailed but looks real to me, it just proves what NASA hides, look for it on google earth and i cant see it, not suprising =_=

Because all the main political parties are detached from reality on this issue.

To Labour and the Lib Dems giving away British taxpayers money is a crusade, the more the better. The Tories spent a decade trying to shake of the 'nasty party' label and are now unwilling to talk sense if it means the other two can call them 'nasty' or 'selfish'.

For all parties the destruction of the nation is a small price to pay for the privilege of leading it to the bottom.

All polls point to the fact that 'International Development' should be bottom of the UK spending priority and the first to be cut in a crunch. The only party talking sense on the topic is UKIP.
